Thank you for the feedback ZM!

just go for it

Alpeph J Parts Changes
Hi all,
Bought a couple of Aleph-J boards a couple years back and will finally get around to building them.
I have read 6L6's build guide, and a few additional pages bookmarked, but I am curious if there were any part changes or omissions I should be aware of?
I have this from the last few pages here:
R30 - Jumper
C6,C7 - DNP
So I don't have to go through every page (it would be fun if I had the time) are there any others?
thanks folks!

Hi Roger,
Another one is to use 1k resistor for R8 instead of a 2k pot and setting it at 1K.
Cheers,
Dennis

thanks,
Should the pot first be adjusted in actual circuit and then a resistor selected, or has it been found by most builders that a 1K is about optimal?
The original schematics actually uses a 1K resistor.
I guess the pot was added to the PCB to allow some adjustment of the current
to the jfet diff pair.

trimpot in Aleph CCS (sense part) is for coarse Iq adjustment , trimpot in input LTP CCS is for DC offset adjustment , same as (if existing) trimpot in LTP drain , modulation side
Hi. Ive received the transistor kit from the diyaudio store and Q3, Q4 (ZTX450) are not paired up. Is this OK or should they be in matched pairs also?
Probably a dumb question... Can I connect a DAC directly to the input of the AlephJ (no preamp)? Something like this?
rBlink - Wireless DAC - Arcam
Volume control by the BT source device?

I can dial this down to 32v. (Sure Electronics' webstore Mean Well MW 36V 16.6A 600W AC/DC Switching Power Supply SE-600-36 UL/CUL PSU) Is it suitable for the Aleph J? thanks
