I think I will consider my DIY Aleph J layout as complete and move on.
Although it was never beta tested.. 🙂
Now I want to try to make Aleph J-X layout.
Plan is it would also be UMS heatsink compatible, as one solid board per channel, with 8 pcs of IRFP240 per board.
As I understand Aleph J is single ended and Aleph J-X is push pull.
I wonder how they sound in comparison.

I notice the links to the BOM are all dead (click and nothing happens). Are these available?

Hey Everyone - Im using the Blogspot build guide. R1 for the amp boards shows up twice in the saved Mouser cart. The values are different.

Is that just an error? Which of the two should I use?

Extremely late to this party...but a friend told me to build myself one of these. So I was wondering will the FET part kit ever be available again? I see the boards are available.
Have anyone tried to use the Linear Systems LSJ689 dual p channel to replace the hard to find LSJ74s

When you actually have them in hand, we will be more than happy to help.
In the time being, you need the J74 quad 8-11mA. https://diyaudiostore.com/collections/frontpage/products/matched-jfets?variant=39335246987337

Hello, super new here. I just recently built an ACA and a Nutube preamp and I'm absolutely hooked. I'd had some minor problems, looked up some past comments on the threads, and sure enough, just needed to do some re-soldering and things were great. I'd love to take on another project, it seems like the Aleph J would be amazing. The guide seems great, and most of the parts are available. I'd love to ask this forum a) is the Aleph J a good next step, and b) anyone know ballpark when the diyaudio store might get new stock in of things like the power supply boards, and the transistor kit? Months? Years?
Thank you thank you!
