Very nice JPS64! Which PCB manufacturer were you able to get a quote to make a multi-layout board for same price as single? Both JLCPCB and PCBway would not make even Aksa Lender Preamp without charging extra for the 3 extra mini-boards (input selector, CLC, power switch).
Hi X,
you´ve to order panels: panelization done by manufacturer is cost expensive.
PCBWay considere this monster board as panel so no additional costs.

Nice!! Those are premium resistors there, man. Taka-whatchamacallit brand? 🙂
I guess the soccer can wait 🙂

Haha!! PRP and Takman.
X, Soccer is Sunday🙂
Actually, these resistors are only a bit more $ than the ‘brown sausage’ type.

Blood red sausages are just so much more appealing for some reason😀
I did find a small drop in THD when switching from Chinese steel leaded metal thin films to to the Dale brown sausages.

I like PRP, but Takman to me are such a great combination of value and quality. Between 1% Dale CMFs, 1% PRPs, and 1% Takmans I honestly can likely barely tell any difference, but to my ears I like the Takmans a tiny bit better.
They're all really good IMO.
I gotta get some of these...... nice work, Vunce.

Vunce,
That’s the B.B. v1 (March). Don’t forget to connect GND of C104 to P GND without the 10R ground lift. The v2 board has that fixed.

I will be glad to drop a set in the mail for you Hugh.

Thanks for the reminder X.
In preparation for that mod, I left the one leg of the 10R resistor long and bent it into a loop under the board to make a solid anchor point for the C104 GND wire 😉
As promised, schematics and manufacturing drawings.

I like the dual power supplies on one board.
Hi JP,
Very nice universal design.
Do you have an alternative heatsink to use for the rectifier board? If it’s the same heatsink as your F6 psu design, I don’t think we can’t source it in the USA.
Regards,
Vunce

Hi Vunce,
I´ll supply on demand SK489 75mm.
But you can buy AAVID type also (length needs to be reduce from 100 to 75mm): mounting holes are 4.2mm.

Tonza,
Thanks for the cpu cooler links. I missed the fantastic price on the
Gammaxx 300 so I went for the S40 since it had four 6mm diameter pipes and the same price as the 300.
JPS64,
For some strange reason even the Aavid Thermalloy - os520-100-b is not obtainable in the USA? Maybe my search skills are diminishing 🙂
That’s really weird 🙁

Hello JP,
Very nice designs indeed🙂.
Have you used 10mm dia cap (if not already ) for the C185 and similar caps (220uF). More /better products available in this diameter.

Can I use a 0-22v 6.8A x2 (dual secondary) toroidal for the Alpha 20W board? Is the voltage more and if its the case can I use a higher wattage and low resistor on the CRC psu board to achieve the required voltage. I have this in spare which I can use and if not this I need to use my other spare 0-18v 7A x2.
Thanks
