The ST TIP35C and TIP36C.

What do you think?
Wait, they are not Darlingtons. Would they still work? Specs seem the same.
except for the gain...

Yeah, ok thanks. I'm officially giving up on this one.
Too much other stuff to build.

I’m ashamed to ask, but... will there be PCBs for this? Any chance of one of those amazing build guides from 6L6?
When Papa presented this to the community about 5yr ago there was (for some unknown reason) little interest in it.
I asked Didiet78 to lay out a board and he did, it's beautiful and fits the UMS, found here - http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/pass-labs/227503-ab100-class-ab-power-amplifier-3.html#post3497315
And still the community didn't respond with much more than a murmur.
SO, here we are some years later, this is still a really neat design, and would be a great candidate for a diyAudio Store project. I'd be more than willing to do the prototyping and guides if there is interest, may we have a show of hands?

.
that deserves better/more careful made pcb , with maximized energy path traces
easy to do , as far I can see from quick glance
it is 100W amp , to start with
as is , it looks as last phase of layout work , first phase of optimizing

The only thing I'd humbly request is that it still fits the Universal Mounting Spec. Aside that, go for it! See if Didiet78 will share the Gerbers
I'd be interested in PCBs, I think I have enough Lambda (A40) transistors to build it with those.

I’m happy with how my f6 performs, but i live in south spain and half of the year my f6 gets so hot you can fry eggs on it. Besides, some extra power for my 89db speakers might be welcome sometimes! This AB100 sounds just right for this
Papa is too cheap to use two extra resistors.
LOL.
Degeneration is not the only way to improve the linearity of a long tail pair. It can also be done by increasing the tail current.
From the looks of the current sink transistor choice this might be what's done.

If this amp is a good choice for an eminence beta 15 in an open baffle, for bi-amp, i'm in for the pcb's...as soon as possible because im not listening any music for some time now...
