I did this in the late 90s with an all mosfet solution. 15v low power 33v high power rails.
A zener and 20k resistor on the diff pair works great as the 33v fet turns on fast and off more slowly. I used MBR 1045 shottky diodes. Fets were IRFZ40 and IRF9z40. A 0.1uF on the rail minimizes RF interference.
