Nice work,

55Vdc to 60Vdc is normal for a 40Vac secondary.
75Vdc is not normal for a 80Vac secondary.
Did you check the AC voltages of the transformer before assembly?

sorry my mistake transformer out is 45 42 0 42 45 Vac and result -75 -55 0 +55 +75 Vdc is this ok Mr AndrewT? my H900 is normal and nothing wrong the sound is good and clear
any suggestion mr. andrewT what's wrong with my psu, the capasitor and diode seem normal 😕 with transformer out 45 42 0 42 45 Vac how much Vdc normally will i get sir andrew3Vac extra does not give 20Vdc extra.
This is still not normal.
To get 15ma what the best option ?
1. Increase vas
2. Increase bias
What different about 2 above option?

Your transformer out is 55 42 0 42 55 Vac
Mr. mile my transforfer out 45 42 0 42 45 Vac n i get +75 +55 0 -55 -75 Vdc measure in capasitor but mr andrew said 75Vdc isn't normalYour transformer out is 55 42 0 42 55 Vac
Mr. mile my transforfer out 45 42 0 42 45 Vac n i get +75 +55 0 -55 -75 Vdc measure in capasitor but mr andrew said 75Vdc isn't normal
Your measurements must be wrong.
Ok. Maybe Iam to much ask n i know why im not get my answer. Thk. Iwill not ask again. Thk so much.
Are u sure ur trafo 45 42 0 42 45 ? Mybe 45 40 0 40 45.

I don't understand your question.

ok i give more specific question here, my qustion is the best option for get 15ma. i read ur post talk about changing R15 n R16 to 680R instead 1K of original scheme and this option for 3 step driver, in my case can i use tef and set bias to go 3 step driver? or must be change that R15, R16? I hope u understand my qustion. Thanks.
Your measurements must be wrong.
i'll check again may be my tester got broken also, thanks
sure my friend, first time i power up use 1 trafo 45 40 0 40 45 and now i use 2 trafo using 42V + 45V VacOk. Maybe Iam to much ask n i know why im not get my answer. Thk. Iwill not ask again. Thk so much.

Hi Apex,
what page of this forum I can find the PSU schematic and PCB lay-out?
thanks..
Go to post #67 for PSU.
i'll check again may be my tester got broken also, thanks

ok i see. so u are use 2 trafo each channel with secondary output 45 42 0 42 45. im rite? how much caps u use ? before connect to caps how much voltage u get?
i do this for testing Mr gantexok i see. so u are use 2 trafo each channel with secondary output 45 42 0 42 45. im rite? how much caps u use ? before connect to caps how much voltage u get?
1. I use 1 transformer with 45 40 0 40 45 Vac with 10000/80V capasitor
2. i use 2 trafo with each secondary 42 0 42 and 45 0 45 but one of the diode got hot, i think this fail or one of my transformer broken (old transformer) with same 10000/80V capasitor
3. now i testing with toroid transformer 45 32 0 32 45 Vac with 8 6800/63V capasitor and 2 fake 35A fake motorola diode 😀 n the result is like this picture are this normal?
i'm finishing build H900 in december but i power up H900 this week 😀
i'm very courious to build this psu, may be my multimeter got broken too, cause several days ago i got wrong measurement

DC voltage = 1,414 * AC voltage (Diode bridge forward voltage don't count, no load condition).
If you have 45 32 0 32 45 trafo, you must have aprox. +63 +45 0 -45 -63 dc voltage. You can not change the physic of law 😀.
Please measure all voltage with ground as reference. If you measure DC voltage, set the multimeter for DC voltage and if you measure AC voltage, set the multimeter for AC voltage.
