Will this schematic perform well? I sort of wanted to start with simple circuits rather than the regulator of heaters and a CCS. I'm not sure where this schematic was located.
The 5R4GY is overkill as a rectifier. It is rated for operation at 40,000 feet.
Is the finished amplifier going to fly on the outside of a commercial aircraft!!😱
5V4GA is a much better choice. But I guess you like many here in this thread need something to look at. Very strange design practice.😀
PS- I've built something like 50 amps for various purposes, never had to use a 5R4GY.🙂

Its not going to fly in a WWII bomber's transmitter for some airshow. But I had one to test at the time of the original build. Among others tested and listed on the main linked schematic. Like the 5U4G and the GZ34.
