Weird I ordered a used cassette of the Synchronicity album by The Police just a few days ago featuring the original song from 1983.

It has something to do with the collective mind.

Will this schematic perform well? I sort of wanted to start with simple circuits rather than the regulator of heaters and a CCS. I'm not sure where this schematic was located.

The 5R4GY is overkill as a rectifier. It is rated for operation at 40,000 feet.
Is the finished amplifier going to fly on the outside of a commercial aircraft!!😱
5V4GA is a much better choice. But I guess you like many here in this thread need something to look at. Very strange design practice.😀
PS- I've built something like 50 amps for various purposes, never had to use a 5R4GY.🙂

Its not going to fly in a WWII bomber's transmitter for some airshow. But I had one to test at the time of the original build. Among others tested and listed on the main linked schematic. Like the 5U4G and the GZ34.

This year's BAF was outstanding!! The renovation of Ft.Mason was a huge contribution, but we had all sorts of new stuff and a lot of exhibitors who haven't come in a while or first timers. A wonderful time. 😀

Oke,made a small change.

Wil put it on 7v to be save.
If one of the LED,s might fail.

A trimmer under an LM317 may also fail etc. What safety level you include in things depends on how crucial the application.

Such stuff sings on horns no doubt. Make one for yourself too, not complicated, it just takes some planing, assembly, and finish work to make it presentable.
