Hi Bob,
I asked a while back the question of what tube amp for a PL/FW fan, and got
some suggestions:

looking nice , except a fact that L bracket positioning is exactly opposite of best one , which is approx. 1/3 of heatsink height, starting from bottom
though , if heatsink is oversized ...... and that one looks as good enough for 180W of heat , it really doesn't matter that much
yeah , share what you guys think about sound ........ and also - it would be interesting to hear how many of these funny pucks you guys bought .....

How much VA power is Your toroidal transformer ?
That aluminum bracket represents a lot of thermal resistance. It might be better to mount those devices flat on the heatsink .
time will tell and I'll show what I did
Will this also work with THF-51S ? I do have a spare pair.....

yup
besides making Big one for Mighty Moi , greening all the time simply having mental image of Mithrandir's cunning smile , I need to make THF iteration for my Polish friend
so , will probably make it as complete project , maybe even including everything needed for Papa's Poor Men All-Mos iteration , presented in same BAF 2015 video
as we are speaking , I'm making Eagle packages for 2SK77B and IXFN140N20P
😛

I will stay tuned for that, although I need another project like a hole in the head, it hasnt stopped me lately. Using this winter to finish a few projects that have waited long enough, some merely waiting for chassis.

5a me think... It's what papa prescribed voltage.. Sounds don't know yet...
Thanks AnthonyA, another question : how much is bias (- B) voltages for SIT's?
Me know very well triode simulation with IXYS mosfets and Tamura input transformers only , but my amp builds have a CCS version with A, B, C and D connection points from 2SK77B schematics.
Is a DIY option simple tip just solder double switch from CCS points C to D so You get two different sound signatures possibilities to chose from only one amplifier. Is twice fun with the music play 🙂

hope you're not using that tiny green switch for speaker route 🙂
btw. I had some fun this evening .... whenever I have no energy for something "more demanding" , I'm finding pcb fun very relaxing
