Hope it's not a too stupid question:
When BC550C/560C are still available, shall one keep using them or is it better to change to BC546/556 anyway?

It was actually bbcbbs that wrote that 🙂 as it was a translation of his post. I should have formatted it better.
I would say that they are not similar at all as the BC550 is only a 45 volt device whereas the BC546 has a 65 volt rating.
Curiously the noise figure is quoted as being much worse for the BC546.

I like 2N2484 ( to18 case) but I don't know if actual India foundry produce a better or worse version ?
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

i build this one and got 12vdc on the output with 35v rail.
i use ksp42/92 insteads of mpsa42/92.

but i don't really understand. the SGND and GND is already connected by 100nf, should i replace them with jumper wire, sir?
thanks
SGND and GND must be connect to PSU GND with separate wires.
thanks, it's sing now!
this tiny little amp was surprise me. airy treble and clean powerfull bass and the middle is too bright if bias below 80ma, so i set it to 100ma and it's warm enough now. will upload the video next time.

Nice work, CA9 is little but CFA, DC Servo amplifier.
good to know it sir, thanks for sharing.Nice work, CA9 is little but CFA, DC Servo amplifier.
for info, this amp can't use counterfeit/underspec output mosfet.
it took a week of delivery from a distributor I trust, so I tried it with the mosfet that I bought in my city, it's very cheap.
the result is sound harsh at louder volume, unstable bias, zobel got warm and slowly kill the op amp and driver tr.
i have no scope but I'm sure it must be oscillating.
this also happens when I use a used old mosfet, brand ST
hi alainHy,

Thanks by advance.
