Thanks for the layout. That layout ooks pretty nice. Do you know what the noise ripple spec is? I am hoping circa 50 micro volts.

I have built the A Class PSU and it is very clean. Maybe even cleaner is the Jung Regulator that OS and Jeff designed. A lot more parts though.

Did you ever look at ripple on scope? I have heard the Salas shunt is one of the cleanest supplies. Uses 3 stages of regulation I think.

All are fed from a 26-0-26VAC transformer. Measured without a load. Each are set to approximately +-24VDC.

The first three all measured about the same. Very low ripple. Surprisingly though, The PSU I built for my Self Preamp shows less noise and ripple than the first three. It shouldn't but it does. Not sure why.

How many micro volts is low ripple? You are saying that a basic 7824 and 7924 has less ripple than the complex ones above?

I changed mine to use BF246. Just had to change the pinout. Works great.
