Mini speaker - Japanese 100 Yen shop "Daiso" - 300 Yen speaker's modified model

Or maybe the cones are bigger.

I am looking forward to the completion.
Thanks for your input Nandappe. The cones measure 4.5cm, surround included.

Do you think your diy cabinet will also work (even suboptimally) with the Audiocore speakers? I would like to build it, but only if it makes sense.

It sounds good and is loud enough.
All that matters.
Good to hear you've threaded before me, Patrick, and are happy with the results! The built-in amp is doomed to be dumped...

TDA7266 is BTL.
That means it can output at least +/-4V with 6V supply.
The driver is about 5R.
That means ~ 1.6Wrms.
It was loud enough for me, for near field applications.
They won't go to my sitting room.

If you want to go the full 3Wrms, just increase the supply to 9V.

Hi Klimon,

I understand. The cone size is almost the same, so I think it can be used without any problem.
I think that inexpensive drivers have a large variation in characteristics and can be hit or miss.

Hi Patrick,

I see, it seems to be sufficient for close listening.
They were originally designed for PC speakers.

This driver has weak bass and treble, but the vocal extension is excellent.
It would be difficult to achieve this kind of vocal reproduction with a multi-way speaker using a network or a filtered full-range speaker.

Internal wiring was supplied with the speakers, 6mm MDF and PVC sheets were made by Daiso.
Material cost is less than 1000 yen (6.5 USD) per pair.

Hi ChrisABC,
Thanks for the information.
Tectonic TEBM65C20F is a cute shape.

I love mini speakers and make a lot of them.
I don't use filters, graphic equalizers, tone controls, etc.

Hi tiverson,

Looks is very good, but the box is too big.

Mini BH

I don't prefer to put small units in a big box; I like to make them as small as possible.

Hi ChrisABC, thanks for the info.
I think OWS-4021TA-4 is the same basket as E-Sound DXYD40N-22P-4A.
TS parameters seem to be different.

Many years ago a bought a tiny portable speaker based on a TDA 2822 chip amp, 4 AAA batteries and drivers much the same, but smaller than use in the Daiso speaker; this started me on a long journey. I can't help wondering how many people will start modifying the Daiso speakers, and many years later finding themselves with a room full of homemade speakers and hifi. This is how people get started in this hobby.

The box introduced by ChrisABC is similar in size to HB-07F-ML.
It is double bass reflex, 0.6L + 1.1L.
It uses only 1.7 grams of sound absorbing material.
