This driver has weak bass and treble, but the vocal extension is excellent.
It would be difficult to achieve this kind of vocal reproduction with a multi-way speaker using a network or a filtered full-range speaker.
Internal wiring was supplied with the speakers, 6mm MDF and PVC sheets were made by Daiso.
Material cost is less than 1000 yen (6.5 USD) per pair.

I recently verified with an audio friends that the fewer elements in a network or filter, the fresher and more extended the sound.
I think it is due to the poor quality of the enclosure.
This is because using coils, resistors, and capacitors will reduce the extension of the forte sound.
Seems to have quite high distortion ?

This speaker is popular because it offers enjoyable sound on a low budget.
Since it has a built-in amplifier, it can be used as is or as a base for modifications.
With an affordable price of 330 JPY (2.13 USD) for 1 pair, we can enjoy great midrange sound.
At a recent audio meeting, the impression shared by everyone who listened "Danny Boy - Jacintha" was, "If you place it next to a floor-standing speaker and play them, no one would think that such a small speaker is producing the sound."
This is something you really have to hear for yourself to believe.

Hi LeifB60,
Sorry, but this is an original Daiso product.
There are some overseas stores, but not in Europa.
The cone is 40mm and the structure is a paper cone to which a dome-shaped polypropylene is attached.
I measured the parameters, but there is a big individual difference.

I also checked and it was out of stock at my local Daiso.
I contacted support, but they said it is out of stock and will not be restocked.
And, my favorite 30φ neodymium magnet is also not yet in stock.
Daiso 300 yen speaker is not an almighty.
Bass and treble are weak, and piano and other sounds are somewhat distorted, which is unfortunate.

Just received a pair of the Audiocore AC870 EUVL mentioned - couldn't spot any differences with the Daiso either on the online pics. Edit: Though the surrounds are foam, and the 'originals' look more like rubber.Sorry, but this is an original Daiso product.

I'll build Nandappe's cabinets next, so will share some pics of the drivers after I've liberated 'em.
I like what I hear...

So do I.I like what I hear...
I removed the electronics and replaced with a TDA7266 with 6V supply.
😊

The internal amp is not of good quality, so it is better to get a separate one.
I tried to play it with a 6.5 USD Bluetooth amp base from Amazon.JP, but it is only a little better than the internal amp.
If you want to enjoy good sound, you should use an amp costing more than 50 USD.

Of course we DIY :

I used (TDA7266) 6V last night. Loud enough.

Hi Patrick,
Wouldn't the TDA7266(6V) be underpowered for a low efficiency (less than 80dB.w.m.) speaker like the DAISO 300yen speaker?
I would use TDA7492 or TPA3116D2.
At a recent audio meeting, I played it with SMSL A50 using TPA3116D2(20V mobile battery used).
