Something to lighten the mood

Cal,

Perhaps this will lighten your mood.

I was a bit off my feet for a few weeks (not that part) and did not mow my lawn. As the grass got to about ten inches tall (25CM) I started getting deer bedding down in it.

I found they loved eating apples. At first I quartered a few apples, then I just bought bags of smaller ones. As the deer came in pairs I would throw out two at a time.

The local borough having rules about lawn heights I cut it. The deer didn’t like that. They would eat the apples but no longer bed down.

I did put out a block of salt for the deer and it appears they have started to enjoy it.

I haven’t cut the grass in two weeks and today I have a new deer bedding down.

The goal is to have the grass back to height in time for hunting season. There is no hunting permitted in my town.

Upside is the deer eat the wild greenery including poison ivy! Unfortunately the also ate the three seedling trees I planted. Next spring I will plant saplings.

Did pick up deer feed in case they do show up during hunting season.

Ay Caramba!

French wanna be?

The French were actually our friends against Franco. The Rousillon is Catalan.

Catalan grew out of Occitan.

The Isle de France.. pfft, but the "French" People in the Pyrenees are very nice.

Canadian Thanksgiving? Now?

Google is your friend, Tony.

Back to our regular programming, maybe not new , but;

Think he’ll be sleeping on the couch tonight?
“Good morning sweetie, sorry about at the restaurant, here’s your Americano. I’m curious though, what was that buzzing I heard last night”
“Oh, that was just BOB getting the job done right”
