Same here, the learning curve for many drawing programs is horrible, and they are expensive. I still design my chassis projects with pencil, erasure and pad of squared paper.

Wouldn’t you call them “Scribers”, dividers have needle points?Dividers. Not compass.
It does look like it has done a lot of scribing.
Scribers have hard tips, usually replaceable.
They are used for marking jobs, like the tips on height gauges.
So you will find a screw to hold the tip in place, or a welded / brazed joint (HSS or carbide tip).
These are dividers, a bit heavy duty, so for shop use.
Amazing it was not scrapped over the years, the factory should be long gone.

Amazingly, still in business, still selling a near-identical tool (they turned the brandname around).the factory should be long gone.

My two new (old) meters, spend several hours taking them apart cleaning chassis, removing old stickers, lithium battery needs change they're dated 96 98 but still show 3 volt.
Connecting them to same source them seem to agree very nice, but would like to get a calibration done.

I was out showing our nice surroundings (two mountains, a lake, two waterfalls, several caves and a place from where most of our county can be seen) but noticed that going up the steep road to the the top of mountain was hard (car revving badly), and knowing that a new clutch is on the "most fix list", so I ordered a complete set and will try to find a garage that can install it.
Need two tyres, but have to wait til the end of the month.

A second hand Dell 3030 thinclient to load linux based player onto. Replacement for non responsive single board toy.
Also some 1/2” bolts to replace those which didn’t survive the re-torque process in my suspension.

Mostly trying to buy ball gear for my daughters. Yesterday was a 27" 19oz bat for my older daughter, she thinks she can hit bigger with a heavier bat. Still can't find a true softball t-ball bat for my younger daughter as the certifications changed only a couple of years ago to create that specific category, not many on the used market. The worst part is I'm not sure there's a technical difference, I might be just wasting time chasing down the same item with new stenciling.
Yesterday bought a Nikon F401 for $19 from the local electronics recycler. Don't care about the body, just thought the Nikkor 50mm/f1.8 AF was worth $19 even sight unseen.

I have two electronic, and one portable, all Brother Japan.
Strangely enough, ribbons are still available, so are daisy wheels.
I broke one, not found in USA (font), so I took a walk in Bombay...found a shop that said what only one?
He had many in stock, in many fonts.
Rarotype, Berlin, Germany was the maker. It worked very well...
He said he had golf balls for IBM, and all sorts of cartridges, supplies to Dubai, Sri Lanka, and other countries...apart from India.
Golf ball refers to type element for IBM Selectric, IIRC.

Paid ~50$ for a whole lot of connectors. Will be used as surround preamp until something way more expensive arrives.
I'm pretty sure those connectors wouldn't cost 50$ new though...
The heatsinks and transformer are well worth it probably though 🙂

That connector thing was a joke. Surround receivers are stuffed with connectors, as we can see.
However, 7 channels of power amps will come in handy at some point.
