I bought two of theese smps units, for a long time I wanted a bench power supply with wide voltage range, and high currents, theese will be perfect I hope, might add some output filtering, and definitely a chassis with meters in it.
Bench supplies in theese ranges cost a fortune.
0-72 volt. 30A.

Opposite today - I cancelled Netflix due to their new crackdown on account sharing. 24$CAD is too much - to the point of paying another 8$ so my father can watch it at his house legit is still too much.
Apparently I'm not the only one - Their stock lost 5% earlier.
We'll see how much it effected their bottom line in April when they report earnings.

Wow, a new car, what a rarity. The guy I bought my tires from waited 11 months for delivery of his hybrid Hyundai in Calgary. An acquaintance in Montreal was quoted 18 months and he just placed his order for a hybrid Hyundai.
And I thought I was splurging when I bought a guitar pedal for $20 from Aliex...

A bunch of car parts at a junkyard for my cousin and some stuff for my friend also.
Turns out they made 2WD Chevy blazers in 1999, and the improved front hubs/spindles/brakes swap right onto older cars like the old Buick Grand National.
The friend has inherited a non-running 1975 Mercedes 450 from his late father, hard to find parts.

Well, that was SUPPOSED to be the big buy for today: a birthday lunch steak has been put-back and put-back for weeks due to bad weather, restaurant winter break, etc etc etc. We had a firm date for today... then the dealer called. Yes, I "could" go down there next week; but in this economy they would probably sell it to someone else.I bought lunch for the XYL today,
I looked into it. We don't have the Elvers readily available but we do have the 'Elders' and yes they are the Anguilla Rostrata. They're not whole like Magnus showed, it's butterfly prepared, frozen, vacuum sealed and ready to eat. It sells for $9-$13 for 200 gr. pack so it's more expensive than I remember. Not sure what the elvers would go for if they were available.Going price here is $2,000 a pound. That's "elvers", glass eels, baby sushi.

Below 1 .... 2 -2811 50- RGB led strings , only $5.27. Wow , what a nice cheap dual (monster) VU / power meter set it will make !
Unbelievable they can make these for <10c an led (with 2811 chip). Green is a little "hyper" but I can halve (G) in hex. Orange was hard to make
because green was too powerful.
Below 2 ... 2812b (13.65$) 144... split in half for L/R VU wall meter. These strings are touchy. After a couple failures , added a 100uF cap at the ends and a 680 ohm
at {data} to reduce noise and keep supplies / data "clean" 2811's are much hardier.
I'm going to put a mono 60 string on my sub/amp - RMS .01 - 300W readout. Too many peak holds @ 300w will semi mute the amp and flash white
to warn me of "over-enthusiasm" he he... RGB is cool.

You are not getting baby elvers, glass eels, for $120/pound; they go for thousands per pound. Japanese sushi ranchers pay that much (maybe more, is a very tight opaque market). Not sure what the elvers would go for if they were available.
Maine seems to be the largest remaining supply of baby glass eels which, in a few years in a feed-pen, are large enough for eel sushi.
At today's supply and price, the only elvers who get eaten are ones molded out of Pollock fish-paste.

Yes I was doing some research before I posted. I was making a comparison with the smoked eel Magnus had showed us, not to elvers. Because they are primarily an Atlantic fish, chances are we don't have the elvers here as I can imagine transporting them brings on a set of challenges..You are not getting baby elvers, glass eels, for $120/pound;

I bought one of these to get high bit rate audio out of my Oppo BDP-103 and into my DSP preamp.

So far it works very well at least for DVD-A at 96/24. Still working on DSD and I have to try a Blu-ray disk.
I will suggest Hemmings, haven’t thought about them for a while. This one won’t run for more than a few minutes, friend has been gradually eliminating possibilities…@phase
We had 3 "126" chassis Mercedes and parts were remarkably easy to find. Do you read Hemmings?
That 1975 '450 is a treasure!
Was the Buick Grand National the one with the ceramic pistons?
The GN is loud I know!
Ametek AC-1 Microphone calibrator, $20 shipped ebay. More about it here - www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/which-audio-interface-usb-should-i-get.396061/#post-7275988 Link to listing up earlier in the thread; seller probably has a few more, if anyone's interested.
