Something to lighten the mood

ABBA emerged on the music scene as an "oven ready" pop sensation. 😀

Indeed.

My disdain for some of the popular music of that era is because deejays in my neck of the woods just stopped playing rock music around 1978 or so. They basically replaced rock with disco. You can ask Steve Dahl what I thought of disco.

I remember one year when I came home (to Chicago) for Christmas. My car still had WDAI, a "progressive rock" station, on preset. So I pushed the button and... disco. Next song, disco. Disco, disco, disco. Then the announcer came on and said "Disco DAI"... If I would have had a gun, I would have shot the radio right there. It was as if rock had never existed.

Abba is just no replacement for Pink Floyd or Jimi Hendrix.

I was living in New York when this happened, but I was there in spirit.

Up with the Lark today. Dunno why. The Weather is Terrible. Rain and Wind! Should have stayed in bed.

But at least our Windmills are spinning away to heat my nice Douwe Egberts Coffee, which is on offer this week. Global warming solved.

Tried to ring Greta to tell her about it, but she has ridden her bicycle to Glasgow for some rave called COP 26.

Got to be up early on Tuesday too, for the Melbourne Cup. Irish horses already smelling strange smells like Eucalyptus and hearing Didgery-Doos. Hoping for a tip from AllenB. I'd fly down for it, but Greta said that would be bad for the planet. 🙂

I find that thought has not lightened my mood.

BTW, has anybody noticed, as I have, the Clocks have gone bonkers this morning. I really have no idea what time it is. Every gadget I have seems to disagree on this simple matter.

Never mind what time the NFL football is on tonight. Or when the Melbourne Cup is running. What is going on? 😕

Naah, storing solar energy is peace of cake.

I use AGM-batteries to store solar energy from light panels and the windmill. Only solar heatwaves are not stored. Only problem is that my cabin is hiding at the bay and surronded by trees... but at least I do my best!
