In actual use the aluminum heatsink is not needed, the transistors do not get hot. You could remove the HS for a bit more component space. Attach a small aluminum “finger” type heatsink on the transistors instead.

Thanks Vunce, I would only replace it if really necessary... I have more than enough aluminium HS in hand, which I ordered - so I would like to use them. 
If the distance is an issue though... I would order something else.

Edit: I now remember that I replaced C21 and C22 with some bigger parts, because the needed were out of stock - they don't fit 100% on the pcb... as shown on the photo above. Is the gap between the capacitor and the board ok?
Excuse my beginner questions.

The spacing between the heatsink and cap is fine as it doesn’t really get warm. A small stamped aluminum one that is super compact can work too if you build it in the future and need more space.

Yes, the small gap under the capacitors C21/22 is ok.
I am gathering parts for a USSA-5 build. I am planning on using the SLB power supplies in dual mono. I am considering the Antek AS-4222 transformers that are rated @ 22V. What would be my DC output from the SLB if I choose to use the transformers?

Update on my dual SLB build. Successfully running Zen Mod Babelfish J2 boards. Using Antek 4222, 400va with 22v secondaries. Getting 26.9v under load with the SLB pots fully turned for max dropout. 20v secondaries would get me to 24.4v but in a 5U deluxe chassis I have enough heat sink to make it work. I think the SLBs are doing their job really well. That said, I have a pretty major noise problem resulting in some toroid buzz that seems to be coming through to the speakers. I can hear it from my listening position when nothing is playing and during quiet passages. This is the case with all my amps which leads me to believe I have DC on the line and overall dirty power. Gathering parts for a DC trap and Fo-Felix boards now. Fingers crossed that finally quiets things down. The SLBs though, awesome.
