I told you, that fella was blown off his feet when listening to my speakers ...The speakers look really nice but there’s this crazy guy in the last photo you better be careful of him!

The horn works perfectly because it was designed by the manufacturer of the driver.
I have found that the "perfect" fullrange driver is this 5.7" driver in the correct horn, not an 8", 10" or larger.
The treble is so good that I have removed my Fostex super tweeters, as they are not needed and bring nothing to the party.
And the plans for the horn were included in the price of the drivers

I am interested in sonido speakers.
Alnico magnet have demagnetization that I read about.
Do they need remagnetization or need box plan for Qts
change?

AlNiCo is one of the most stable magnet types at high temperatures, but is vulnerable to demagnetisation from other causes. Some of that is self-demagnetisation (hence the reason many used in loudspeakers are physically quite long relative to their pole area & to achieve the target flux density in the VC gap); others are due to susceptibility to external fields, or even physical blows. A loudspeaker permanent magnet structure can't always achieve the optimal form factor for the AlNiCo magnet taken independently as by nature this is constrained by the requirements of the overall driver design.
Be that as it may: if you handle the driver with reasonable care, avoid external fields as much as possible, it should be fine, and remain so for many years, although a decade or two down the line it may (may -varies with design & circumstance) require recharging.

Thank you for detailed explanation Scott.
Since I heard refreshing sound of Fostex alnico driver at shop,I always wondering how sonido is.

Sonido drivers are far superior to Fostex.
Speak to Istvan at Sonido about his AlNiCo drivers specifically

CORRECTION:145 in Sonido horn, plenty of bass
Is actually the Sonido SFR-175
I asked Istvan then gave me reply.
These speakers operate at low power and therefore they can be used
without conflicts for 15-20 years, the induction in the gap decreases by
about 5% and thus the Qts is increased by minimum percentage.
I am very interested in those speakers also field coil.
Field coil, only swr200,swr250,swr300.
For my small room,I am considering sfr145.

I own a pair of SFR-145 AlNiCo and they are even better than my ferrite SFR-175sFor my small room,I am considering sfr145.
What cabinet do you use for Sfr-145A?I own a pair of SFR-145 AlNiCo and they are even better than my ferrite SFR-175s
Istvan includes the plans for his latest cabinet, but I have tried them in my horns in the picture shown earlier in this thread
I see. Nice big horn.
My room is too small so I can't have large ones.
I would like to have TL cabinet that seems more
forgiven for Qts changes high later.
I am big fun of TL bass sound.

Alnico itself don't really demagnetize, it is the motor magnetic lines starts to break off due to handling like hammering the magnet, the adhesive that holds motor structure starts to weaken or corrosion to the yoke
Normally if the motor structure starts to gap due to due to aging, the magnetic line starts to lose its continuity, this is one reason why the magnetic gap loses strength.
Mostly happens on Alnico 5 and below, like LNG44...
Alnico 8 and 9 seldom has this issue as Coercive is higher, but Alnico 8 and 9 has size limitation when casted as they are very brittle.
Re-magnetizing helps to reset and make the yoke recreate magnetic lines within the steel martensitic crystal structure

Would it be possible to use SFR 145 for open baffle application (as a midrange/treble range?? With something like a 1st order crossover to bigger woofer at around 400-500hz?
It does seem very interesting, especially since it's competitively priced.

Yes, the SFR range is well suited for OB use with a bass driver. OB bass is of the best quality bass in my experience. Goodluck.
If the baffle is done correctly and the FR used above its mass corner, it should work well in an OB.
1st order XO might not work. MJK covers a lot of material in his passive OB article and i would suggest that is what you would be best to follow. He uses a split frequency 2nd order filter.
