Small update of 8" waveguides. I've noticed there is something about big waveguides that make problematic tweeters work well. Not sure if it is the mouth size or depth. I'll get the files uploaded to my website by the end of the weekend for this and the last batch of testing since they all came out well.

Here's an analysis of the impact of enclosure shape on waveguides like the ones described here:
Loudspeaker Enclosures are Waveguides
Loudspeaker Enclosures are Waveguides
Which waveguide? They should all have the .step file linked.
I mean all WG have the Step file without phase plug but no one have the Step version with phase plug.
Thanks

Thanks John, I've been following

Assuming you need to use the .step for a CNC, what CNC do you have access to that could mill the phase shield? I don't think it's possible, at least as I have designed it. Would be happy if I were wrong though.
No, I don't thinks it's possible, it's for integrate it in a kind of bulle front plate ,like this one in attachment, at the top.
But I need to merge it (no screws) and 3D printed it in 2 pieces front/rear
At the bottom it's a 6.5" in "Ikea bowl" speakers.
Thanks

Very nice results. I'm wondering what do you mean by "problematic tweeters"?

I see. I'll work on that, might be a bit of a wait. What waveguide were you looking at using?

Soft domes, big domes, big surrounds, etc. Especially with big domes it seems like 5" waveguides are just hopeless without some serious phase plug design.
I'd like to move on to the 1" Scanspeaks. If anyone is willing to borrow me a R2904/7000 or D2904/7100 that would be awesome!
Interesting that big waveguides make problematic tweeters better. I would have thought the opposite. That's great to hear since I'm trying to use a problematic big dome tweeter on a 12" waveguide.
Does it have to be those two models? If not, I have a D3004/6020 from an old speaker I don't use anymore that I can let you borrow if you want.

Thanks augerpro, the 6,5" as it for 6.5 drive, for rmatch directivity.
I try some time ago to do a 90° constant wg for tweeters, it need a revel like phase plug (round bubulle and donut) and it at to oppen so fast (for avoir throat reflection) that it became pseudo constant. So I dropped it.
Precision have ro be +/-0.1mm also for the donnut, he is especially hard to find the good size and poisition and will interact with the bubble plug. So I stop for 90° and tweter and prefer to use yours.
I thinks you find the good formula, may be add the donnut, but the position is hard... (Even whit help of simulation)

Every waveguide is designed for a specific tweeter, and will not mount to others. Which tweeter were you using?
Hello augerpro,
NicoB is working on sb26 6.5" version (tweeter is sb26adc). [emoji4]
In fact, he is helping me with my project

My R2907/7000 are busy making great music in your waveguide, but I have some D3004/6600 collecting dust. I believe the main difference between the 6600 and the 7100 is the motor system.

Yes I don't touch profile, I remove flat part for screws and continue the profile in the reverse direction (and accelerate it a bit) for close the bubulle.
aznovic is a specialist of Ikea bol speakers ^^, he need the bubulle on the top with your WG 🙂
Wow, big respect for all the work Brandon! A while ago I asked if you had changed the 6" version of the SB26ADC version, which hasn't been tested yet. Here's an update of new designs for the T25B, SB26, SB21SDC and SB21RDC, Peerless OT19, ScanSpeak Revelator D2104/7120.
It was this one:
Is this the same version as the one you have posted in the recent post? Or have there been improvemensts to the latest version? If so, are you willing to share the .stl file?

No, it's different. I'll get the current version posted on my site by tomorrow night.
My website is updated with the newest results and files. BTW if anyone has good pics of their waveguide, I'd like to include more on my website.
Thanks, I didn't see that you have a 6" now ^^, can we have the step with PS too ? Look like more suitable for the project.
I thinks that aznowicz will send you good picture when it's finish 🙂

What software are you using that using step is better than stl? I don't know much about the difference in the two formats.
