The last time I had a SS amp was the Advent I bought new in the late 70s. It's been tube amps ever since until a month ago. I bought a Bedini 150 positive feedback amp and Bedini 50 preamp.
I am absolutely taken with this new amp and preamp. I can't find much on the Bedini but what I do find is very positive.

I know it's not a finished amp yet, but I'm just very happy that my leach superamp boards are almost stuffed, everything is closely matched also the capacitors.
Its actually the leach that got me hooked on hifi, as a young boy reading hifi magazines, soon I will own my own, Christmas comes early this year. 🙂

Spraque from 1989, are you gonna use them?
As you might see in the picture, I am using them already. 😕

Hi,
new"rendering image" 😀😀😀
Regards
Rock
Please tell us more. I'm intrigued.
Good question, my friend who did the cabinet did not unfortunately 🙂
Even I forgot to tell him and it turned out to be similar just like both the channels sound equally good.

Very very nice build, manniraj !
Also the rest of the equipment is looking very well. Compliments.

Thanks Walter, the rest of the chain being a Fanless Foxconn PC with Win10 running Roon core and then Raspberry Pi3 with RopieXXL as roon transport connected via AD1862 dac to the Korg Nutube buffer.
Today I finished most cabeling on my leach superamp, I dont see many new threads regarding this amplifier, I know it's an old design, but still, so I'm posting this pic to show progress and maybe get other diy enthusiasts building it, I believe it's still regarded as a reference amplifier even today.
Psu is +/÷ 67 volt 2kw toroid, and roughly 95000uf pr channel, all kept dual mono, I know psu is overkill, but wanted a stiff low ripple supply, and I have quite many large capacitors in stock that needs to be used

Leach is like Stasis - there were no high voltage transistors at the time - they had to use cascode. With the usual Leach less problems - also better stability. I still listen now and then to Leach amp - a real classic. Good luck with the project!
i think the transformer is under the capacitors....
