TPA3250 somebody is listening?

Chris,
My mouser order still on the way & will be received within this week.
Inductor coil order, is dud, not yet shipped.

if i get time, I can still upgrade the other caps along with output caps ( 1uF to 0.68uF) also, right.

leaving the inductor coils as last? or can wait for coils to arrive and do altogether?

Hi

its your choice.. if you want to hear some different steps then do it step by step.
I am a listener.......i relax and enjoy the huge albums i have and what tidal give me.....so my target is mostly listening and then (near future) measure it better to understand and modify...

Update:
Recapped the FX502S Pro & Updated Images below.
The change in the SQ improvement is excellent.

I passed the amp to my friend who helped me in soldering, as he is in need of an amp.
I will be using my Aiyima A04 for now and planning to build a TPA3255 amp later.

Attached is the Cap list.
Please note that for the main power cap can be better models available, this one doesn't do any negative impact in SQ. Discussed here

Not Changing the Inductor coils or Output Filter Caps for now!

I have been playing a lot with the TPA3255 design. I have found a new way to reduce THD (and improve THD+N) by playing with PFFB values and placement!!

I would recommend to try different places on your PCB to place the R and C (close to inductor or close to AMP ic. Also the rest of trace make sure its shielded (under 2 full planes)

Once the best placement was found this is the FFT .

Readings taken at 1Khz , 10W , 48V , unweighted , 8R

THD at 0.00016 THD+N 0.0007 better than TI design. I can still improve

d90 Dac 🙂

But its not about the source BB , the AMP design has to be very good (layout etc). In addition throw out the datasheet design and think outside the box.

I think there is independent testing of our previous designs in class D (tpa3118) where we beat TI by a wider margin.

And we are using AP to check

Right, shopping list time. I've got 2 of the fx audio 502s pro amps. I'll be setting one up for 8ohms to power my speakers, the other at 4ohms to power my 2 mini subs (I have a wierd 2.2 setup). For the op amps ive got a fair few OPA2134's laying around. I'll be re-capping both of them with panasonic FM caps. For the output filters, I've been looking at the following parts:
Inductors - https://www.mouser.co.uk/datasheet/2/597/ua801x-1483251.pdf
Capacitors - https://www.mouser.co.uk/datasheet/2/427/mkp479-1761803.pdf
7uH and 0.68uf for 4ohms, 10uH and 0.47uf for 8ohms
Ive also found some 15x15x5mm ceramic heat speaders for underneath the board to improve heat dissapation. I'll be running them both at 32v (when the power supplies finally turn up)
Can anyone see any problems with this before I add this stuff to cart?
