Lol exactly.. Want the good stuff? Buy from papa Nelson support his pensiun fund.
It sounded very much like a single ended tube for easy listening. I'm using it as a living room phono music... It's supposed to sound like that.. No need to make it more complicated than it should.

considering we’re talking about ACA’s basic configuration variations, I don’t quite see how could you make it complicated at all. ... it’s all there.
Just don‘t confound „amplifier“ and „channel“...

Want more voltage? Want more current? Want more power? Build a different amplifier! Have all this fun, a second time.
Thanks Mark, my question wasn't entirely innocent, it doesn't bring any SQ benefit, that was my deep feeling ....and the reason why I made an F5.

Aternatively build a more sensitive speaker and enjoy the benefits of a simple amplifier driving a simple speaker -I believe less is more for some of us
Full range drivers with no crossover sound great on the ACA

That's what I am after for a long time.

+1...I have a pair of Moth Audio Cicadas that work extremely well with my single, stereo ACA.

I run a pair of Zu Omen Dirty Weekends from balanced ACA monoblocks. Love it.

single gain stage, transconductance better than any tube, better than the 6c33...
this ACA can be scaled up...
i am building a 48v ACA which i will bridge....
the noise happens when turning on the power button on the front of the amp- it's like a high pitched sweep tone - short and not very loud - just for a second
Are you sure that isn't the filter cap which makes this noise when first powering up using the wall wart PSU from the kit?

TADS - They all do that sir. The off the shelf complete ACA kit with DIY audio supplied power brick does that from day 1 it's not an issue. But it does stop once you build a second one and run them in bridge mode.
That board design lends itself well to the modifications that I like for the ACA.
I missed the latest R changes but love the results of the input/feedback and cap mods. Many thanks for sharing your results.
all of our 70 board build never had this issues, we used a different type of power brick..
