None of that does anything to convince me a $400 pot is a good buy. Nor a $250-300 pot But I don't want to derail this thread, so back to watching.

Yes, I've tried ones like those at that price, and they were a distinct improvement at a WAY affordable price.
Mine, which is pretty much the same, has distinct steps but quite soft and smooth operating. There's no real effort to turn the volume. For me it's quite nice.
Yes slightly, but you can hear the steps distinctly also.
These are much better pots than the price would imply.
You can buy spares for future use, and save shipping too.

This is important for me because my audio system has separate volume regulators: one for the left and the second one for the right channels. If I turn both with the same number of clicks I am sure I have proper balance...

I've made plastic 4-to-6mm sleeve ( where is full bag of these?) and that allowed to mount old school Zen Amount button

These female chassis mount jack connectors…..some look very fancy from outside with an "alu-face" and a kind of lock mechanism. But is the inside of these connectors the usual "plastic"? …..are there quality difference among them? …..you don't extreme expensive jack connectors like you see with RCA?

The only experience I have with these jack connectors is from Starving Student II where a PCB mount connector is used. Seems to do the job. Next will be whammy where I have the kit. Here is also included a connector. I wonder if it is worth upgrading to one of the more fancy connectors. What I can say is that the AudioQuest converter from jack to mini-jack is "super duper" and made in one piece and silvered. It is many classes better than the other converters I have.
