The Muses chip it’s really interesting but as far I know is max 20K pot but maybe I am wrong?

I can just get the Muses from Audio Academy already done... quite expensive but I didn’t find any other source

I just finished setting up all the jumpers and connectors for the LED display and the IR receiver - nice and compact but not sure how to mount it yet - no place to allow for mounting.

No - the entire thing has nothing to allow it to be mounted
It is a digital volume control - the muses chip is the primary element but there is a programmed chip to control all the functions and allow for remote control and display

The muses pot itself should be installed as a normal pot... no doubt here. Regarding the LED display, I can see from the picture that there are mounting holes on the pcb (at least the 2 that I can see). You can use those with small standoffs as support?

Dudes - I just saw Pappa post the new "The DIY Nutube Preamp" on the FirstWatt site. Pass mentions a kit, but try as I might, he does not reference where to buy it. Hmmmmm...do you guys know if it will show up here or at PassDIY or FirstWatt ??

You can find threaded versions, Bourns or Alps...

Meldano's suggest Alps EC11B types, but I just found vertical types.

thank you - now that you say, when I was ordering parts , the specified part was vertical and I substituted for the horizontal but clearly wasn't paying attention to one of its most important functions. 😱

Nelson says to measure the output of the JFET buffer. Where exactly is that? Is that T7 and T8?
Should the pots be center before turning on or turned all the way clockwise or counter clockwise?
