DIY an other CRESCENDO MILLENIUM
Elektor stopped PCB sales for Crescendo millennium a few years ago, so I created a new PCB.
I just finished my Crescendo Millennium modified and adapted with only one PCB that I design, it includes the amplifier board and protection DC board, which was composed of 2 PCB by Elektor April 2001.
The amplifier works perfectly without hummmm, it can deliver 28Vrms under a load of 8 ohm. The sound is excellent and very pure, I would say crystalline .........

Hicoco, I like the white pcb’s as you don’t see this colour often but makes sense for easy read of labels. Do you have the air grills in the cover aligned with the heat sinks inside?
Thanks, the air grills are on a rear cover but all the a bottom is with hole , the max temp is 50℃ inside after one day playing musicHicoco, I like the white pcb’s as you don’t see this colour often but makes sense for easy read of labels. something seriously wrong there, the lab floor is shiny and clean, it should be covered in parts, pieces of discarded wire, spec sheets, parts catalogues, splatters from the soldering iron, maybe an old pair of socks. Need to get your lab in order 😀
Very nice. Actually your Lab/shop does not look too bad. 😀
You whetted my appetite, I am curious now how it looks inside.

Now it looks pretty nice inside 🙂 The floor is horrible. That salt and pepper pattern swallows every small piece. You can't find it anymore, maybe when you step on it. 🙂))))))))))
Crazy people are making crazy things 😀
Some more work needed but not much.
Hi Borys,
Very nice layout!
Are you going to post this design on your website?
Thanks
Do

No more tubes? 😀
I like your board, especially the smd area. 😉

The inductors --> i wounded them on the philips screwdriver, nice and easy work. I needed right and left threaded ones so had to prepare them myself.
