Moode Audio Player for Raspberry Pi

Update

Hi,

I see that USB DAC is plugged in but I2S DAC is actually being used.

Audioinfo, when it sees a device on card1 assumes USB DAC so it checks card1 for hw_params etc.

I'll see if I can improve the logic.

moodeOS is based on the 2016-03-18 Raspbian Jessie-Lite release and generally, apt-get update/upgrade will work fine. I've done it myself on Moode 3.5 just to see if there would be any issues.

I noticed that rpi-update tells me it will bump the version to 4.9. Haven't executed the command, because the 4.4 kernel is still installed.
Interestingly 4.9 is said to have I2S fixes, which might be interesting.

New user of moode here. I was wondering if it is possible to ask moode to connect another MPD server and work just as the sound rendered by using 'proxy' database plugin in MPD. This will help a lot in case of huge music collection and multiple clients are using a single music collection. Thank you.

Hi Tim,
I use the RPI2 with the Mytek dsd 192 USB DAC. Unfortunately, until release 3.1 the dac doesn't lock when connect usb cable to usb 2.0 input, but only with usb 1.1.

Can I fix this? Or, Is it possible that something changed with the new release?

Thank you

Hi,

Linux USB driver same in 3.1 and 3.5. Did u try the USB (UAC2) fix on System config?

Hi,

I compiled MPD with db proxy option but I've never tested it. Are you able to make a config on your end and test it?

Hi,

Here's a first crack at adding bitrate and audio format summary data under the Album art. Example:

16/44.1 (755 kbps) FLAC

Awesome!
Any chance you could put it inside the top circle which show the time remaining?

For someone who has audio at various bitrates and formats, this info is very nice to have.

Edit: I use Mediamonkey on my PC to put ratings on each track.
Does anyone know how I can use the same ratings in MoOde? Does MoOde support ratings?

Hi Tim,

Are the Advanced driver options from Moode Audio Player 3.5 (audio config settings) comparable to the the Sound Signature settings of RuneAudio? I find them having slightly audible improvements using better Hifi gear using a RPI2 equipped with Hifiberry Digi+ Pro card connected to a Tentlabs DAC (using optical cable).

Agre'd this would be really cool

Oh, ok, it's changed since the last time I used it.

That is creating a local web browser and routing it over hdmi. Which you can do yourself, just takes a little tweaking. I will dig up an instructional.

Thanks you... i think it is a nice option... isn't it?
We can happily live without it but maybe aesthetically nice.. :)
Does it consume big resource on raspy? could be affected audio reproduction quality?

Hi,

I'm not sure what those settings are or do so can't really answer the question.
