3.5 is working fine now. great contrib, Tim
one thing i got trapped is setting renderers.
there are airplay, squeezelite and dlnas
it behaved like a toggle switch.
eg, i enable dlna server first, then turning on airplay caused dlna server turned off.
after some reboots and switching on each, became to expected state.
am fine as it's working ok now, but was a puzzling behavior.
Hi,
I'll see if I can repro
"i enable dlna server first, then turning on airplay caused dlna server turned off"

Hi
I have never experienced nas latency problem so far.
When pure testing, using SD card and skipping nas is fair.
I am testing the same music files(m4a, flac, wav) both in nas and SD card.
Currently I am using Toshiba 16GB class 10 SDHC UHS-I card.
I have tried other SDHC card and seem to be no difference.
Confusing... you said "to eliminate NAS high latency problem" but you don't have one...
Looks good!Hi,
Here's a first crack at adding bitrate and audio format summary data under the Album art. Example:
16/44.1 (755 kbps) FLAC

I like it just fine, and I don't mean to be a party-pooper, but wouldn't it be cleaner looking to have a little button you can click/touch that brings up that info, rather than having it always there (and potentially cluttering up the look of things)?
Purely an aesthetic thing, and entirely a matter of taste. Just wanted to raise the question, see what people think.

Hi,
Clutter vs clicks is an issue for sure. If there were a toggle button right on the Playback panel then its an extra click anytime you want to see the details.
Btw, the "Display extra metadata" setting on Customize turns it all on/off.
Still a WIP so lot of time to make changes 🙂

Is it possible to stream audio from moode to my phone using say squeezlite? What's the easiest way to locally do this?

Hi,
At least for song files you can use Moode DLNA server + VLC on your phone. I've tried this combo in the past and it works.

Hi , I'm on version 2.7. I've not upgraded to 3.5 yet.
I have moode on a Raspberry PI 3
I wondered is it possible with 3.5 to sync this with same setup in other rooms ?
If so using what? and do I need a PC on in the middle running some syc software?
Ideal scenario is using my phone and just the PI3s in different rooms but able to sync

Hi,
Moode supports multi-room synchronized audio using either iTunes+Airplay or LMS+Squeezelite.

Hi,
I have a test bugfix update ready and need some volunteers to try it out. If you would like to give it a go, email tim at moodeaudio dot org and I'll provide instructions.
You would need to be able to use ssh terminal to run a few commands that configure Moode to see the test update, and then after its applied via "CHECK for software update, VIEW/INSTALL" on System config, run a few more commands to verify some things.
The test update fixes the bugs listed below and also updates the in-place updater to use the very nice Amazon CloudFront going forward.
Below is list of whats covered in the update.
Updates
- UPD: switch to AWS CloudFront for in-place updates
Bug fixes
- FIX: I2S device list query
- FIX: Playlist save not working
- FIX: DSD decoded-to on Audioconfig
- FIX: Wifi/BT disable not working if Adv kernel
- FIX: Change Browser title not working
- FIX: System info on/off status for UPnP, DLNA
- FIX: ALSA volume field "required" error

No, Moode is headless and the user interface is an HTML page, designed to be accessed from your browser.
Don't like to talk about other projects but on rune audio i saw it can do it throught a chrome instance... it shows the album cover and some info about it.. 🙂

Hi,
You can do same on Moode its just that you have to add the software yourself and make the config to render UI over HDMI. I've never done it myself.

Is there a port, user name, password for squeezelite? Thanks in advance for any clues.

Hi,
Squeezelite should be automatically discovered by LMS. There is no userid/pwd/port. Its similar to iTunes and Airplay where its all automatic.
