Someone earlier has opened one. The picture of it look like a cheap low pressure moulded automotive part, lower down the page.

1 and 2 seem to be suggesting that the REV33 is acting like a current source, which of course if you're using only passive components would simply be a resistor to approximate a high source impedance. But that would result in a good amount of attenuation which would lower the volume of the earbud or headphone, not to mention affect its frequency response, especially in IEMs with multiple drivers and crossovers.

I don't see an opened photo? Dreadful site though - full of pop ups. Basically it seems to be just an ad for rev33, full of the same contradictory claims ... The slide in case for it looks pretty cheap and nasty!
Huh? I don't see any photos of an opened one. That page is just parroting REV33's marketing literature.

I don't think they dare show you the 50c of components inside, that's the beauty of low pressure moulding or potting, makes it hard to see the circuitry...
I think it may actually be a somewhat lossy low pass filter. At the very least it appears (from their description) to add some resistance in series with the transducer.billshurv said:
How's that, we are testing a hypothesis that this device does nothing? The claims made in the link should be pretty straightforward to evaluate. At least, unlike the Synergistic HOT, there actually IS some circuitry inside.
Unfortunately, if this thread cannot stay on track with the REV33, and wanders toward Bybee devices, then the spirit of the agreement between SE and me is broken.
You have your own thread. Don't derail this one with promoting your business partner's fraud.
