My bit of the off topic too. Bellow my simple soft start (reactance driven). I am using two relays instead of one. Why ?
One of relays works as a on/off switch so on the front panel you do not have to mount a huge hefty not nice looking 10A switch. Threw the front panel SW will be passing only 16mA. On the board there is DC blocker and simple mains filter.
Interesting,can you share the pcb?
This looks as another very good solution,is this a pcb available?Use soft-start without relay.

There is pcb and circuit is tested with over 1kW transformer.
Here it is.

.Your contribution to DiyA community is undeniable : many designs, experience, layout....and we all appreciated your works.
or two tumbs up.
THx a lot for all the great designs and tremendous effort to learn what's up.

Use soft-start without relay.
It's a good idea, brother Serb, but not all triacs pass both AC half-wave is symmetrical. This leads to magnetization of the transformer core resulting from this asymmetry of direct current. To avoid this, the triac can put DC-diagonal of the rectifier bridge.
The device soft-start and protection of acoustic systems with printed circuit board. Designed for these amps.

Hi!
I want to build the Slewmonster, SpookyAmp and the Kypton ND, and I have the money to spend on the components quality.
I am going to buy now some audio caps and all Vishay resistors. what will be the best type of resistors to put?
Can someone please post here what will be the best transistors to put on these boards?
And one last question, will it be ok if on the slewmonster i'll replace all the 0.22ohm with 0.2ohm? That what I already have here...

Vishay rn55/60 being better for most of the ips and vas stage and regarding the 0.2 ohm its fine you can use them but wirewound some prefer to use it. I generally dont as sometimes the amp oscillates at high frequency.

just used common metal films for most of the 1/4W and 1/2W, if you mean about output power transistors I use MJL3281/MJL1302A for most of the build I do, about the RE try to find the correct ones 0.22 ohms if you can
not that I'm promoting the store but mister Terry show me this website and since then I purchase all metal resistor from this website link:
https://www.taydaelectronics.com/
also I use Mouser is great
http://www.mouser.pr/
you don't need boutique parts just the correct ones as schematic shows
Best Regards

Hi everyone!
Wow, I like this spooky, spooky ghost But, I can't seem to find peeceebees anywhere?
Is there any chance one could build one of the spooky's wihout making your own PCB's? This, I cannot do...... And I really want this amp!
Any help would be really, really welcome(please)
SMD is no problem.....
Thanks!

Here are the gerbers for the spooky. There are plenty cheap PCB houses around. These fit the the 10cm X 10cm prototype discount.

I can barely type this , I guess this is my last post.
I'm not mad , but I guess if one is not young and virile ... others will
carry on.
My hands barely work , my (last) left one has recently failed.
Living in capitalist America , health care is not a "right".
I am glad everyone could use my "slewmaster" concept to jump
on to better more profitable ventures. A shame things could not of been
"coordinated" better.
I suppose I will just wait to see if things turn around (healthcare).
I'll come back in a couple years with some magical IOT superamp
to make up for my present shortcomings.
