Don't thing this is something to do with language barrier, I experienced the same thing when I asked them some information on the original PSU.
Later when they created the new linear PSU, they were absolutely able to describe it.

Will see for the V110. It's supposed to be shipped already, will tell you :)
No way I can accept a V200 instead.

If you strugged to find a proper V200, I can have a look here whether I can find for you a cheap second hand. Let me know if I can help.

Will try a second time the new clock with the new information you gave me. Will report if that works.

Cheers
Olly

Olly, did you get the V110 or did I win the bet? :D

Hi Olly,

Could you confirm this is the way you have connected your new clock :
- Removing C378, C379 (and the old crystal, of course)
- Connecting buffer module output to right-hand pad of C378
- Connecting buffer module ground to right-hand pad of C379

Also, how did you feed the buffer module ?

Cheers,
Etienne
Hi Etienne,

yep that's ok, I will add a join between the 2 pads of C379 (instead of the cap actually) and remove the resistor between C378 and C379.
That would do the trick.

Cheers
Olly

Hi Olly,
Where did you take the +9V to feed the buffer module ? Did you use an external PSU or did you find +9V somewhere on the V200's board ?

Thanks,
Etienne

Just a warning for anyone ordering the LPS200 power supply:

With 240V/50Hz input, it outputs 38.1V unloaded and 37.7V loaded. This exceeds the 35V rating of the amplifier capacitors...

So make sure you check this with ICAIRN before ordering.

I'm going to gut mine and install my Connexelectronic SMPS300R power supply.
To be honest, the LPS200 PSU for US$100 is good value even as a prewired case for the SMPS300R. I wonder if ICAIRN can sell it without the transformer?

Do you know how to mode it yourself and lower the voltage, as he is asking $20 to fix it for 240V/50HZ???

Thanks it really make sense to pay extra for a linear power supply unit? I would've thought that an unregulated switched-mode PSU is so much better suited for an amplifier of this type, no?

I.AM.D V200 amp has this problem:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5Quh3olS0s

you better get FX-Audio D802C it has its own sofware but I.AM.D V200 software been transferred from FX-Audio D802C.

I also can suggest well regarded power supply from hifimediy:

36V 6A Power supply
24V 8.3A Power supply

I saw on other forums that I.AM.D LPS200 Linear Power Supply is very good gives better sound to your amp, so people in general were very happy with the product.

Eugene,
V200.7 and later do not have that problem. They are currently shipping V200.9.

Be careful with recommending a 36V supply. The power caps are rated at 35V.

Be careful with recommending the LPS200 power supply. Mine put out 38V. There are better options.

Do you have one of these amplifiers?

Cheers,
Mike
