my amp oscillate; (
When the music is paused after 2-3 seconds begins slight hum
I changed the value of C7 from 47p to 1.5 n and it did not help.
can you help me with advice ?
Thanks in advance !!!

finally worked !!!
Problem was faкe transistors 2N5401.
Now all signal transistors are BCXXX .
I have made six chanels
I'm glad you found the problem man 🙂

did you add a coil and 4.7R 2W or 3W resistor in parallel into the output ? also place a wire from star GND to RCA GND too 🙂

Juan

Thank`s , man 🙂
my zobel network is 10 ohm + 100n
I don`t have coil .
You must add this circuit to AX14 output.
Or add this circuit and wiring as picture

fake 2n5401, or wrongly inserted 2n5401?
solving by replacing with a different pin out BC5xx suggests an assembly error !

2N are 150v devices when bc are 45v.

as you can see in the picture of post 4892, 5401 are installed correctly.
I changed the signal cable and now things are better.
I will review the board with signal generator and oscilloscope because there oscillation.

I think to replace 2N5401( or BC in my case ) with MPSA92

Hi Olaf,
The A14 is singing. I had a little trouble at first until I noticed that the input ground is not attached to anything. I installed a 5R6 resistor from input ground to PGND and all is well. This is quite a nice amp. Square waves are very sharp and the sound is clear with strong bass. Very nice.

I did find it necessary to add heatsinks to the BD139/140. Those run pretty hot. No other issues.

Exclamation please help!DC voltage in AV400 amp output
hello guys friends
my anthonyholton AV400 mosfet amp be fail due the DC voltage about 100Volt in output that burn my speaker
i have been replace all 8 mosfets but problem exists yet
please guide me that what is wrong?
if it cause belong to drivers transistor?

Hi Terry, that looks really good.
Separation from SGND and PGND is in some Apex amplifiers. The wiring diagram looks like the AX14 (picture). The resistor is then unnecessary.

You are in the wrong Thread.

I spent few days to read all posts from this thread, i can say i learned a lot of thinks regarding this tipe of amp. Thank you very much Sir Mile for all information posted and explained here. After all this words with a lot of work behind i decided to start with Apex A40 in my spare time !
Thx again and wish to all more and more good results !
