I was just about to pay for Wimslow Audio to put together some cross overs for me using their non brand air core inductors, non brand resistors and Mundorf supreme caps.
Should I be wary?

Yes in a word. If you've specced all the component values, you will probably be OK. Just check that all the components are properly soldered afterwards.
In my case, the understanding was I was receiving a customised crossover to suit the different drivers I was using on one of their standard designs whereas in fact I jsut got an 'off the shelf' crossover

You might do well to find out if the crossover you want is on a pre-designed pcb, some of the WA products are fine. I have to say that the ones in my Prestige speakers are of poor build quality (and these were their demo speakers).

I had good experiences with inductors from Falcon Acoustics.
They will wind them to your spec but +-2% costs a little extra and they will select the caps. I needed 2.93µF and they picked ones marked 3µF which are little bit off spec as printed on them but measured are as close to 2.93 as possible. However this is NOT a next-day service! Caps are Solen.
I bought a crossover from Wilmslow this spring. To be short: Stay away.
Example: Main inductor for bass 3,05 mH measured 1,7 ohm. Delays, missing documentation, wrong values given, lack of replies etc etc. To be fair: We have not listen to the result, yet.

That seems very high dcr for a main inductor. I'd imagine the bass will sound rather bloated and ill defined.
I bought some low dcr air-core inductors from them a couple of years ago and they measured far higher than they were supposed to. They were sent straight back.

What was the wire diameter of this inductor? Air cored?
Much better now - matches the decor!
Have done some preliminary measurement. Crossover seems only fit for the bin. Will post some results this weekend.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Crossover tried in various configurations polarity. Best with all drivers in the same polarity:

Is that set of polarities really the best for the midrange/tweeter?Crossover tried in various configurations polarity. Best with all drivers in the same polarity:
PS I have now looked at the driver curves.

I'll go through it again this weekend, but reverse mid was bigger dips both sides. I will check again with reverse tweeter. And report back, but can't see how reversing the tweeter is any different from reversing the mid for the 2.5khz dip.
Ignore my post. I added a PS rather than deleting it in case people had read it before the edit.I'll go through it again this weekend, but reverse mid was bigger dips both sides. The low pass on the midrange looks to be in the wrong place. People were talking about the same crossover being used for 16 ohm and 8 ohm drivers and perhaps it is true.
