@Bonsai: great piece of work as always !
Just a question: where did you find all those knobs?

Roberto

Roberto, they are from a Japsnese brand called Sato.
Solid turned aluminum - very high quality but worth it. I think I spent $ 96 for all 4.

For such small items, a hobby quality lathe is sufficient, well under $1k new without utensils.
(or a secondhand East-German manufactured Hobbymat, if you also intend to do larger stuff in the future. Plenty of those around)

Im thinking of buying lathe so i could make my own knobs in the size i need.... 🙂
And maybe also for other DIYers on request 😛
The new amp is on the way. I think I will never finish any of them in 100%, there allways will be some ''new amp'', never ending story.
Congratulations Borys! BG(X) with DC input and cascoded VAS. What's your listening impression?
thanks egra
The amp will be completed this week so maybe at the weekend I will have some time to verify if it was worth of doing it. Amp names BG9

Hello, everyone, for the first time sent a message, this is my DIY amplifier of 0dB

Excellent work, congratulation.
According to which schematic is this?
Thimios.
Now waiting for original NEC 2SA634 transistors to arrive..... I hope they arrive quickly!
When this one is finished, I will also modify my B1 preamp the same way. No connectors of any kind, only soldered connections. Should be a big difference!

Apparently is a true symmetrical design. There are four amplifiers total, bridged per two, to form the LEFT and RIGHT channel. And of course only balanced (XLR) inputs are offered of which the hot(+) is connected to the input of one amplifier and the cold(-) to the input of other. The speaker is connected across to the outputs of the 2 amplifiers, the pos. terminal at the output of "hot(+) amplifier" and the neg. terminal at the output of "cold(-) amplifier". There are some significant benefits offered by this topology.Excellent work, congratulation.

Nice implementation hansenniHello, everyone, for the first time sent a message, this is my DIY amplifier of 0dB

+/-40Vdc supply per amplifier, so in bridge mode 160Vpp max output voltage swing.
That means a max power per channel:
80Vp / 1.4142 = 56.5Vrms
56.5 X 56.5 / 8 = 400Wrms @ 8 Ohms / 1KHz
56.5 X 56.5 / 4 = 798Wrms @ 4 Ohms / 1KHz
I suppose your toroids are rated at 800VA each one (or say at 600VA if you include a good VI limiter per channel).
BTW what means "of 0dB"?

It means this is fully differential (bridge) impedance buffer stage, having 0 dB voltage gain. It accepts balanced signal from any low Z high voltage preamplifier. 😉
