Hornresp

Hi Art,

At the moment, two different systems can compared by calculating the combined response for the first system and then pressing the Ctrl+C keys or right-clicking on the chart, to capture the results. The combined response for the second system is then calculated, and compared to the captured results using the Compare tool.
Another vote for Combined Response being the default, as per Weltersys's reasoning - bouncing back and forth comparing reflex designs will be a lot quicker as I almost always use 0 length to start with anyway
But thanks anyway for posting about the Capture function

Only what is that gray around the speaker? seems damping but I have not put that in hornresp and I don,t get it away.

Hi Kees,

Are you sure that there is no absorbent filling in the second segment of your design? It seems that you would need Fr1 ~ 300 mks rayls/m and Tal1 ~ 50% to get the response you are showing. See attached screenprint.

Would it be possible to export a copy of the Hornresp record and post the *.txt file? Thanks.

Kind regards,

David

Yes I think also, I get it not cleared, I did set it on zero but still it exists, I miss something, but David can clear this in a glitch..

Let me see your sim, how it looks with you?

my sim don,t look bad, nice low and efficienty.

OK, learned how to add damping……….. I’m guessing you only set the ‘segment 1’ to zero, so double click on it to move it to ‘segment 2’ to set it at zero. There’s a ‘segment 3 & 4’ available also available to ‘stuff’.

WRT your sim, I suggest setting ‘segment 1 & 2’ @ 200 and increasing [S4], [S5] to at least 100 cm^2 and increasing [L45] up to 16 cm.

I’ve no clue what a [Fr1] = 200 equates to WRT how much polyfil/whatever is required though.

Hi GM,

Select the Schematic and Chamber options. The total weight of Polyfill is shown beneath the schematic diagram. Double-click on the red Polyfill message to show the weight in the currently selected segment.

It's all in the Loudspeaker Wizard section of the Help file :).

Kind regards,

David

Hi David

Ik have all 0.00 and I see also no sections where it is, if I right it have to be the second section who I can not found. But maybe I am sleepy, and see not well now, busy with vriend in hospital, I do take care of good friend,s in this case a woman.

And as always the simplest things are the most complicated.

Hi more10,

Just one way of doing it: get a copy of PrimoPDF

PDF Converter — #1 Free PDF Creator | PrimoPDF

Set PrimoPDF as your system printer. In Hornresp open the Help file, and click on File/Print/All. Tell PrimoPDF under which name, and where to store the .pdf version of the help file.....

Regards,

Cool! Thanks! This will come in handy as I don't need this option enough to justify buying Adobe's software.

Hadn't noticed the file not working with the LW open. I just now converted the file to a WORD doc, so that I could convert it to a font size, color & highlight/whatever, so I can browse, read without instant eye strain, especially late at night.

Can these font changes be done within the PDF?

Does someone now how big the ML-TL has to be to prevent noise?

how much X Sd. I did use 0.5 x Sd but with a woofer 531 cm2 it quite big and long (60cm).

In hornresp i see the port pointing outside the enclosure, little confusing, but I take it that the port is always out of the box, (insulated from the box itselfs.).
Where in the pipe I need to place the port? can this everywhere in the inside pipe.?

I had a very nice respons, box is not so big and with the visatons in isobaric it go from 16 to 200 Hz.

thanks.

I did try a ML-TL with the infinity woofer who is not yet used.

I can get if I have believe hornresp that is a nice sub, looks only port is quite small, (noice). box is bigger then normal.

I have found how to remove the stuffing, just type F9 and you see all the hidden stuff.

regards

Having a bit of trouble with the stuffing: I'm modelling an offset-driver transmission-line, and Fr1 refuses to go above Segment 0, which appears to be for the rear chamber that I haven't added: if I increase Vrc and Lrc, the back chamber appears, filled in grey.

The Hornresp export is below. Maybe I've missed something - its kinda late here, but I'm sure I've followed the Help file correctly.
