OK, so I'm only the second most cynical person here!

Jan:
Experienced audiophiles with knowledge of electronics and good soldering skills can improve the sound of their system components at very reasonable cost by installing Quantum Purifiers themselves

That certainly implies soldering. I'll use silver bearing solder, just in case.

As for PVC, I think Bud likes it OK as a dielectric. Bud, please chime in here.

PVC is ok out to 3 meters or so. Noticeable HF shift at that length but just noticeable. Better is polyproylene and least alteration is polyolefin. Strictly ad hoc tests, without any more rigor than is usual for me.

Bud, these are a different Bybee device than I was first describing. The larger units were what I was referring to for potential RF measurement. I don't know much about the smaller devices, except that they should measure .025ohm resistance, and the wire should be copper for the cheapest units, which were the ones actually purchased.

Bob Crump came to similar conclusions but we talked cables confidentially. Now that he's passed I'm figuring it's fine to relay his thoughts.

Good guy and missed. Mr. Curl knew him well.
