200 x 2" drivers What to do?

If you feed those drivers in coincidental ring arrangement with delay ladder, you'll have an Quad ELS63 'clone' :D It'll also make directivity more uniform by forming an almost spherical wavefront.

If you'll drive all drivers in phase directivity is very high. But never mind since high directivity can sound very detailed if you'll stay in sweet spot. It depends what you like.

BTW I like the dipole concept. Add a dipole bass and you'll be done! :)

OK first listen: I like it!, they go very loud!!! I don't think I've ever felt midrange before lol, very small sweet spot though, they're very detailed, vocals are suprisingly clear and I can hear things in some songs that I listen to a lot that I never knew were there, bass is tight but not very deep.

Your observations are generally similar to those of my friend who built much smaller 4x4 and even other friend of mine who built just 2x2

seems to be generic sound of an array of small drivers - impact, transparency and detail

Add a dipole bass and you'll be done! :)

or just equalize it - such an 10x10 array can move a whole lot of air by itself

as I said before - it's at least 94 dB @35 Hz of max SPL within linear displacement - if one needs more in his listening room then I believe one must be a happy and rich owner of a BIG room :) otherwise one really needs to consult his doctor ;)

have you considered using these as some sort of distributed bass system in the skirting boards of your listening room, presumably by distributing 200 small subs all over a room excelent all surounding bass would result all without needing large boxes. Insane amount of work though.
 
Back in the 1970's there was a design published in a magazine (forgot which one) that had 16 5 inch speakers in a frontal array. The impedance was adjusted by wiring them in a combination of parallel and series to a total of 8 ohms. You could probably do the math for the 200, or 100, or a multiple of 16. A 4 ohm impedance could also be achieved this way as well.
I do not know if a series-wired array would have phase distortion problems, as each speaker would act as a length of transmission line, magnified by the magnetic field and coil capacitance. I built lump constant delay lines for a military contractor in the late 1950's that added a constant delay for each inductance/capacitance unit after the third one in series.
