Federmann, here is discrete preamp and uA741 at 475kHz for expected output 4Vp. Also, a phase plot of uA741 (it falls to -10 ° at 180kHz, not at 475kHz)
Phase plots are simulated for small signal in MC!

I'm not talking about topology, I'm not talking about frequency. I'm talking about the delay expressed in angular extent.
For all amplifiers will apply: delayed 10 °, it would Vdif = arcsinus 10°
You are wrong 10 ° for 741 when 17.457 kHz, not at 180kHz!
Think, I wish good night.

Le it be...his students say: He was teleported from another galaxy...but brain was lost on the way....

Once again, recall the beginning and involvement. Certainly your involved 741 same.
Vdif and conditions of the input amplifier.

Do you have still real results, Federmann ? Or only your never ending simulations ? We are tired by waiting....
Maybe mods might like to move this thread to 'Everything Else', there is nothing about solid state here.
We have real results, Federmann...and you ? Only theoretical blables and claims without listening verifications...

Listening tests are already going. Confirmed the delay is shorter = better sound. Border delays the onset of distortion is heard is to be found. I say 158ns to 100 watts.

Used (compared) amplifiers in test? Other equpment (signal source, used speakers)?Or, as usual, again only simulation?Listening tests are already going.
I view, that the maximum acceptable delay is 5.7 ° for the entire frequency band to 200kHz. Sinus 5.7 ° is exactly 1 / 10 output signal, but you certainly read on my web.
I'm interested in the views and experience of others.
I also wrote: „is exactly 1 / 10 output signal, but you certainly read on my web.“
There can read that 1/10 signal, the power output is 1/100 of 1%. We can talk about the distortion of 1%.
I'd like to return to the topic.

Topic has become disorganized. Soon I will add mathematical relation between delays, slew rate, bandwidth and voltage. All complemented by measuring the real amplifier.
Good night.
Good night.
We can real measuring results and correlation with real listening, Federmann....where they are, do you have them ? We are not interested for your prehistory circuits from the year 65' or so...
