Hi diyaudio,
just finished my headphone amp. It was planned as a kind of "practice amp", before the voltage on the rails gets higher…
Preamp with LM4962, symm. input, -12dB/-6dB/0dB selector, Baxandall volume control.
The amp section is made with discrete components only, BC846B, BC856B, MJE243, MJE253 and some chicken feed
So far, so happy No noise in the headphones, no hum, no ground loops, no audible distortion (~0,005%, 10Vrms, 1kHz), clean sound with a wide stage... drives everything from 16R to >600R headphones. It's the upgraded SMD version from a pure THT version before.
Making your own gear is pure fun

The enclosures? Where did you get them, or are they DIY?
