Ideal Bridge second GB

If you consider that the first C in a typical tube PS is often in the region of 47uF and there are wide ranging debates about the exact type of this part you will appreciate that narrowing this choice to a ceramic is very limiting.

After all the sync rectifier replacement is aimed at the cognoscenti, right? Those who don't care about capacitors are happy using cheap diodes.

This can be made to look quite cool, even down to a valve socket, as a direct replacement for GZ34/83/etc. A voltage doubler can raise the PS for the 1170 out of the heater voltage and series connected 1170s can probably take care of the voltage requirements, so again 4 ICs for a centre tapped full wave rectifier. No local cap at all and no choke input operation, but this is a small price to pay.

Working hard to mount all orders !
In the mean time, I enjoy a lot a Salas Simplistic JFET phono stage, with Saligny Standard bridges. :)

Regards,
Tibi
