It is very nice but I want to to be very simple. That's all... cheers and tq for the attachment.

The trafo was designed to be very low noise and it's about connecting an extra wire ... I don't think this make things "complicated".

Bad tracking and poor playback.
Hi Tibi,
Trust you are well.
I have done as you said and cleaned the circuit board with iso prop. It was filthy, my bad . Now it's all clean and shiny.
It now works like a dream and plays my oldest CDs which are scratched very badly. My Brother's in Arms CD plays again. I did find another error with a capacitor. I put a 6V 470uF instead of 16V 470uF in C13. I must have misread the parts list when I ordered my parts from Mouser.
I've also installed the hot rodded drive you supplied. Since I've never listened to a bog standard one I can't comment on what improvement this offers. All I will say is it sounds very good indeed. My own attempt worked but was a right mess. I've since bought some smaller tips for my iron.
Thanks again for all your assistance.
Cheers, Aleks

Hi Tibi,
Need abit of help here. I hook up everything except:
1) digital out cable
2) remote control battery
Issue:
1) the LED on the Psu board is not working but measure 8v.
2) no reading from the mechanism. The screen shows 00. I pressed the Door button the disc start spinning and shows ' -- ' then back to '00' again. I was using proper bought cd. When the cd spins, I can hear and see the lens move in mm few times then stop. Anything I missed out?
Thanks!

Ya I recalled I read it once but cant find it. Where is the protection thingy? I have to de solder it or cut it? The Psu lead don't really bother me anyway.
thanks Tibi.

thanks Tibi.
Use a soldering iron to remove the static protection blob.

Tibi,
I dig out your old manual from tvicol website. Page 17 says the short pattern but need a soldering iron with grounded tip? what that means? special kind of soldering iron?
Any grounded soldering iron will work if your power line have ground, otherwise ...
Before removing the blob, take care to discharge yourself. No joke.

Tibi
ahhh...... I'd just removed it and start reading. does that sound good? I have not connect to dac yet. One more thing Tibi, I see the track number while playing. Tell me it is true that is don't show the time while reading? hihi
Tq so much... damn fun. Man I got a transport!!

Playing. Singing. This tranport is a wow factor. Hookbwih my shigaraki dac and naim amp. No longer blame my old naim of its uninteresting sound. Once my gainclone complete then tada.... Tq Tibi. Worth all the wait and money well spent.
Thank you for feedback, Alfred !

Tibi
