My fault for not looking at who submitted the post! Still, great looking build an nice workshop you have there.
Hi Gavin
Thank you for upload the process, I do hope you have a nice, deep and tight bass with your FE206.
Your adjustable stand inspire me, please let me know when you done.

Great looking build there Koho.I wish I could hear it, do you have a good digital audio recorder with stereo mics? Maybe make a recording and upload some sample sound clips. I do this with all my builds so folks can get an idea when they use headphones to listen.
Btw, did you ever make the BLH with the driver chamber and throat? It was supposed to increase bass extension and reduce mid frequency leak out through the horn mouth.
Hi xrk971
My BLH still working very slow, did a lot testing about the chamber, must work very carefully in this critical area.
Thanks!

I have just read through this thread. Absolutely delightful. This is this forum at it's best. Mutual respect, genuine help, and original thinking. Thank you all.
Thanks for the plan KoHo. It's actually quite simple. I might have to give this a try in my quick-and-easy foam core board. I don't have a fancy Lowther, what might you suggest as the equivalent diameter FR budget driver to use? What are the key params to try to match for driver?
I enjoy reading XRK's posts, besides being a very helpful DIY'er, he can make anything using foam core board...😀
Thanks for the kind words guangui. Almost anything... The Zen Acousta is huge and remains on my hope to do list.
I have not heard from KoHo in a while - wondering how gen 2 is coming along?

You are right! KoHo, how is that Rev. 2 coming along? Though I like the rope look, I'm more into industrial, so hanging those speakers using SS wire with the ends to the frame interlaced with some EPDM or Buna-N tubing.
I am going to give this design a try, and build them for a couple of Fostex FE206EN.
Am I right in that the newer design from post #58 is a bit narrower (13.5" vs 17") compared to the original drawing?
Anyone got any better drawings available?
The ones in post #58 is a bit hard to read...
Even better, is the drawings available in metric measurements instead of the horrible imperial measurements? 🙂
I have already started converting the measurements to mm, but the original drawings is a bit hard to read so in some places I am a bit unsure on what the numbers are actually describing.

I converted the measurements into mm and have the sketches somewhere. I will try to look for it and if I can find I will send it by direct message.

Thanks to do that, I just out of town to Canada few weeks, I can't make it.
If you don't mind just post the convert measurement to share everyone will be great!!!

Hi
I think 13.5" will good for Fostex, which high Q than my Lowther.

Thank you both for the answers! 🙂
Thanks again! 🙂
Once I start building in a couple of weeks I'll try to upload some pictures of my progress.
