1..Yes.. I rec BCC136
2..Those and the tantalum caps at the input stage, to SAL123RPM also from BCC.
3..Are they 2.2's or 2.3's?
Best regards

1..2.. Do you sell kit to transform 2.3 in 2.3SE ? Can I order them on you web site ?
3.. they are 2.3 SE (3 zap) and 2.3 ( 2 zap )
Thank you.

Hello Vroum90
I no longer work in L C Audio, but i suggest you contact their sales team with that question. You can send e-mail from www.lcaudio.com

Oh! you don't work in LCaudio... i'm veru surprise
1..The zappulse will have no futur ?
2..The gain of 2.3's is too big for my preamp, can i change some resistance to decrease the gain ?
3.. Is it important to connect the input GND( signal) to Power GND as shown on the Complete amplifier schematic ? ( page 14 of the zappulse 2.2SE)
thank you.
Seb
Vroum90:
1..I wouldn't know. 😀 I only know if/that i will have a future! 😉
2..If you go in the 'need2know' section on lcaudio.com you can see at the bottom a mod picture. Change the resistor in yellow circle to 499k, then you have reduced gain / noise floor.
3..Only if you want to make it free of noises and hum (depending on external units).
Best regards
Lars
PS i will be off the forum for a few days, going to a conference abroad. 😉

Lars,
thank you for all your answers. 🙂
2.. yes i see the 'need2know' section on lcaudio.com, my preamp can drive 2k input impedance, if I do the change to convert the 2.3 to 'low noise' version ( yellow to 100k and blue to 2k20) what about the gain in this configuration? ( 32dB as original version).
3..which value of yellow resistor must i put to reduce the gain in the low noise version?
thank you.
Sebastien

it is very difficult to find a local distributor for 4k99 CMS resistor ( E96).
which type of resisor do you use ? vishay Melf ?
I will try to change the 2.3 to low noise version with a decreased gain. I think it will be OK.
Thank you Lars.

Hello Lars,
good conference ?
1.. I change yellow resistor to 100k, i keep blue to 22k. Is it a good configuration or must i decrease the blue resistor ?
I do this to decrease the gain, as I have no noise in my loundspeakers when the preamp is muting. The sound is very beautiful, i like ZAppulse 😀
2.. I bought Black gate FK 100u/100V to put in the output filter and Nx Hi-Q 6.3V/47uF to put in the input. Do you think it' a good idea ?
Thank you.

Sebastien: Yes thanks 🙂
1..It's a good config if you now have the right gain.
2..It could never hurt 😎

Hi,
1.. which is the gain with yellow to 100 k and blue to 22k ?
2.. i will connect the sync generator, which cable must i use to do this : RG58 ?
3.. is it a good idea to put snubber on the power rail ?
Thank you .
Sebastien

Hi
1..Now it's only 100k / 22k = 4.54 times or 13 dB.
2..Yes that will work fine.
3..I don't know the exact story on that mod, so i can't really tell you if it will work or if it's only a voodoo seance 😉

Hi,
I don't find the page on LCaudio.com concerning zapsync generator...
1.. On the ZAppulse sync , could I connect directly the cable on the PCB without use a SMB connector ( impedance ?) or is it necessary to put a SMB connector?
a great Thanks 😉

First sneak preview of the 700XE. Please see photo below.
Measurements of the new improved 700XE will also be posted soon.
I went to L C Audio head office today to check out the new XE, and my first impressions were good.
So far i can say it is very low on noise, compared with earlier ZAP's when running and also when turning on the power. Even when you have your ear in the loudspeaker you hear absolute silence.

Hello,
i just finish my amp with 2.3 SE and you tell me that there is a better classD than my 2.3...
I want five 700XE to test on my amp ??? 😀
No, just one for a good customer ???😉

hello,
Just a little thing:
It would be interesting to have several GND connections on the input side ( one for the modulation, one for stand by and one for the sync input) for a cleaner assembly.
I don't think that is a problem with a multi layers PCB ?

Hi Lars:
The ZP700XE looks very nice and tidy indeed. 🙂
Is it as silent or more silent then you expected?

Keep us posted on your impressions ... and what developments have you had with the SMPS that you have been working on? 😀
