Yet another Volume controlers and source selections

No , because the potentiometer is actionable manually and microcontroller is not aware of that button position .

Only if you reset always (every time you power on the amplifier ) to 0 the potentiometer and if you know the potentiometer constant .
It is not feasible this way ...
And the motor is DC not pulse !

It can be done ,
IF you connect a 10K potmeter with a belt to the potentiometer, then the potmeter to GND (ADC) +5V

The use 1 of the ADC channals to read the volt on the potmeter
and convert it

The adc channel read 0 - 1023 then convert it into a volume db table for read out on lcd

I did not say its easy but it can be done

What values do I need if I want to reach 100K?

I am also looking for the Microcontroller but can only find this one ATMEGA16-16PU.
Is this the right one?

you can use the soft ( including Farmtech special firmware ) with ATMEGA16-16PU without modification .

i did not found the link to that. Do you have it?

Geosto and TBKK,
don't waste your time. If you want to change input impedance, use Danzup's schematic and values of resistors multiply by 10 if you want 100k, or by 5 if you want 50k. The relation is linear. Then use nearest standard values. If you didn't notice yet, Danzup interchanged some values of resistors, so read post #210 of this thread. There you'll find correction.

I'm not expert, it's my hobby.
If you ask me, my personal oppinion about the best solution is R-2R relay attenuation. Don't change input impedance. Danzup is very smart, has huge experience and he exactly knows what is doing. His solution is optimal.

the problem is that the volume starts every time with the volume level of
-46dB and does not remember the volume setting. Also the lowest volume is
