Here is the for single AK4399+Xmos in one board.
Sorry no pic on my board for now. (with all mods) but here is how it looks when it arrives from Minishow on ebay (very recommended seller)
Most Elcos are ELNA Cerafine but old, mdate: 2002 and 1997. I replaced those first to new Cerafines (now black/gold sleeve) -But original works fine too.
The two big 8200uF ELNA for audio is new (md: 2013)and so are all small 10uF ELNA SilmicII (also black/gold sleeve as the new Cerafines)
Like i said before today all caps are film from Vishay and Arcotronics bypassed with 10nF and 100nF ERO kp1830.
The four old stock Pana X-Pro i replaced to Rubycon ZLH.
The red bypasses 100nF is WIMA MKS2 with magnetic legs. 😡 ERO MKP1837 is recommended.
I Signalpath there is WIMA FKP2 (5%) - Replaced those to ERO KP1830 and yes little bit better but FKP2 is not bad at all.
Op-amps are genuine LME49760. I use OPA1611 instead, my favourite right now.
I'm very very happy with this board. Works flawless with Foobar and win7 64bit. SQ are open, clean, Neutral, transparent, very good bass (quality not quantity) IT doesn't highlight anything, it just ARE. I'm not listen to the card anymore, only the music (after the modifications)
Want to buy a ES9018 card to and modify the same way and do comparison. Could be fun.

Thanks for scheme and explanations ..
Currently I use mini DAK with AK4396, playing properly only when the opamp kicked out, a simple buffer is a much better solution..

Can you please share your buffer. I would ofcourse be happy if there were a way to remove the opamps..
And you are not unbalancing anymore the DAc output, just use one output of every channel ?

No one responds, I'll try to rephrase my question ..
Has anyone managed to run DSD files, theoretically speaking they would have to play with no problems .. however, I was wondering if it really works ..

Max,
I believe a tube buffer is a better option, I have tried solid state, it sounds too lean, if you must use a SS buffer try using Shunt Regulator, it will improve the sound.

You believe or you know?I believe a tube buffer is a better option..

Nobody tried to run DSD files through this one?!

Assuming that you mean the 220p capacitors, which form part of the opamp filter..
It seems to me that filter is too violent, starts from 10 kHz .. try a smaller value, 100p or lower ..
You believe or you know?
I tried both Tube and SS designs I like the Tube buffer output much better. As I said before if you want to use SS buffer then use Shunt output regulator the sound would improve.
A version is the abusive original filter ..
Version B or C, do you think that would make progress or not .. Theoretically, this filter has a smaller impact in the audible spectrum ..

I've modified and tested so many different caps that i wonder if it can take another round with my soldering iron. It's pretty beat up. But ofcourse i can try. You mean keep the 560pf and change only the 220 into maybe 100? I have some fkp2 that are 68 and 100pf. Also can paralell two Ero 220 i get 110pf.
Thx for the graphs. Similar results with other opamps too? You simulated with 5534 or? I have opa1611 right now.
Edit: also have 47pf home in stock
