While they last...

Can someone message me watanabetomoaki email contact for the listing he has on eBay? Naturally eBay won't let me supply him my email address. I want to make an offer. Thanks

Although PayPal do not disclose much info when you buy through EBay, I can see that money went to 友亮 渡辺 which translates to Tomoake Watanabe.
If I google 友亮 渡辺 I can find FaceBook page tomoaki.watanabe.505 that tells he live in Komae, Tokyo. Same destination you can see on his Ebay page.
Accrording by FB he was study in Meiji University and you can google anothe page: 渡邉 友亮 | 明治大学
And also google translate it. According to this page you can find that he is a Professor and his work email is: tomowata@meiji.ac.jp
I doubt he still use FaceBook and doubt he use work email in PayPal but it is crazy how much info could be found by just googling..
Still the best communication right now is to contact him through Ebay.
I may be wrong but I think it is against Ebay rules to disclose your email or give another options to communicate outside Ebay.
He could go in trouble.

Probably + other Sony Vfet's 2SK60/2SJ18 are included on the list.

Initially I have a single-ended version, a variation of the DIY Sony VFET,
which should work with any N channel TO-3 Fet part. There would be
another version yet for P channel parts. This is a very simple follower
OS using a single polarity supply with the VFET Drain at ground to
eliminate noise.

Voltage gain provided by external circuit, which could be the one provided
with the Sony Kits or one of the 4 designs provided by Mark Johnson, or
of course none at all.

There will not be a significant delay for these, they will be made available
immediately after the release of the DIY Sony kits.

A reminder, we are about ready for the first release of the Sony kits,
and they are all packed up, and an announcement is due momentarily.

So much conflict...

I sort of wish this thread would just fade out...I’m trying so hard to resist buying more SITs because the Greedy Boy battle cry holds such sway over me.

I still haven’t started my SissySIT...got two roughly matched TH51S for that a while ago.

Four more unmatched TH51S in the drawer as well.

I will say, even though there has been a rush on the supply, the pricing is reasonable and not too much more than what I paid more than a year ago.

Let the SIT party begin!

I'm thinking Dr. Nishizawa would be very proud to see that his V-FET's have finally found their respectful place in audio. Thank you Dr. Nishizawa and thank you Mr. Pass for bringing them back from the past with your simply sophisticated V-FET designs!
🙂

Could you pass the email on please? If you are happy sharing an order and splitting the freight cost let me know...

Private message sent and I agree with Zen Mod that Mr Tomo's email does not need to be made public.

As RainfallSky says, eBay is has rules when conveying messages between buyer and seller (disclosing email address). Though for buying only 1 or 2 items, it's easier to just go through the eBay process. These are selling fast so I went for the Quad Matched set - (just in case there's a balanced option 🙂 - this time best to have the transistors FIRST before buying everything else.

We are a small group of DIYers and i'm sure Mr Pass appreciates our interest. But what i'm finding is there's probably far more people hoarding these rare parts than those actually building with them. Like in the case of the Sony VFets, I know there's still a large supply world wide, unused, stuck in storage, and long lost forgotten for another 10 or 30 years.

A many years ago pioneer DIY projects work was made by Mr. Michael Rothacher

aka AudioMaker | DIY Audio Projects, Etc.

He bring us first Sony Vfet's discovering on the forum and construction articles
and in year 2014 show high power Tokin 2SK180 , SIT modeling software,
how build curve tracer and much more..

VLOG #1: Curve Tracer, Big VFET, SIT Modelling, Ironamp - YouTube

Thanks Sir Rothacher for all fabulous energy and teaching 🙂 Kind regards

I wonder what could be lurking in all of those old wooden boxes - surely not all stashed with obsolete transistors Mr Pass. 😕

On another point, has anyone got the pinout details for the Tokin THF-51S device or even the datasheet in English. I have found the datasheet for the 2SK180, but the THF-51S and 2SK182ES datasheet is proving elusive, thanks.

I found this with a search
