Is there a chance the design using the larger 2SK182 will have more power output than other versions using lower power rating devices?
What I'm really getting at is can we look forward to a 30+W SIT amp?

Looking forward to this build. Very much a newbie in the field of amp building but I made the purchase for 2 x stereo amps for my son and myself. Hopefully, I might get back the ACA he took from me. Thanks to all for informing the community, workîng out and publishing the design and thus helping us to enjoy our music even more.

And that is in a five days. Impressive.
(149+174)*59.80+(128.80*9) = 20474.6

I think Mr. Tomoaki owe Mr. Pass a few bottles of a fine wine. 😀
Watanabe san has found Tokin’s gold mine somewhere. His THF-51 stock is replenished!
Damn, I already have Tokins and one package is on a way, but couldn’t resist to order more today.
Nelson is very persuasive with just few words.

Can someone message me watanabetomoaki email contact for the listing he has on eBay? Naturally eBay won't let me supply him my email address. I want to make an offer. Thanks

Done.
Thanks for the reply tombo56
I'm really enjoying my Sony CSX1 Vfet amp (shown here : My Sony VFET CSX1 Adventures & Grief ! Despite having lower damping factor, the output power is remarkable on my Klipschorns - I mean shake my walls loud like nightclub SPLs. Naturally the amp doesn't do nasty clipping like the typical solid state amp which goes BLLLAAATTT on the bass kick drum. I will say this and some will disagree but it's as loud as my Luxman M117 power amp that does 200 x 2 watts!! and when the clipping lights stay on, the sound of clipping goes BLLAAAAAAAAT but I should say the speakers are slightly less efficient (Klipsch Chorus).
Anyways i'm overly impressed with the SIT sound and unlike before, I will be sure to have the SIT in hand before doing things backwards.
Yes but eBay has that nasty 15% GST that is added on the item AND on top of the shipping for NZ residents, and I prefer to give the savings to the seller without going through the eBay checkout. We all know watanabetomoaki is trustworthy.

You can make an offer in his ebay listing - I did and he accepted.

Many posts imply there is a golden era of SE amplifiers ahead and maybe DEFiSIT as well. Last iteration of Sony V-FET will be just the harbinger. There will be several MOSFET and BJT versions of the same design. ZM will even bring germanium version. Interesting times ahead indeed.
There is still that “minor masterpiece” design that didn’t play well with Sony parts. We can hope that it will be good for the Tokin and that it will be released.
Anyway, Nelson has stash of 5.000 to 10.000 Tokins. He won’t just SIT on them. 🙂
