I'm surprised that folks are paying gladly over $200 for this piece.
Who says Nobsound is 25Wpc amp? It is in the same way as car head unit is.
It is quite loud, I connected it to a pair of Klispch rf 82 predecessor and its driving them no problem. Sound was very clear and loud, maybe due to the horn. Not sure if it's a psychological thing, but I can hear some different both in bass and sound stage. But I did audit it in another room than my av receiver. I guess $200 for the pacebo effect is okay. One did tested the tubes are actually in the signal line. But who knows maybe it's just for decoration. No refunding now. Was shipping all the way from HK and got taxed and dutied.
So a 10000w amp would sounds the best? Lol
this is flawed logic.
you seem to focused on watts Vs watts arguments, re read what is said above without trying to formulate it into a simplistic conclusion.
Klipsch are rated 98dB/W
Missions are rated 89db/W
Which give or take a bit of marketing means the missions require 10x the power to drive.

Folks that pay 200 cant / dont see the point in spending more for less (theory based on: my Iconaudio ST20pp dont have 'everything' connectivity)I'm surprised that folks are paying gladly over $200 for this piece.

Indeed, it might only be a few watts going by 'car head unit' PMPO bs.

No placebo effect, Klipsch being 10X the efficiency of the Mission can cover a lot of sins.
In fact, your Brother is NOT falling for the placebo effect at all: his eyes tell him "tubes" and his ears tell him "crap". 😀
Good for him. 😛
But no problem, also "give" him a pair of Klispch rf 82 and I bet things will instantly change for the better. 🙂
Well, not "instantly" , he'll wait for the sound of your car going away and plug the Rotel into those Klipsch ... now that is a sweet combination. 😀
Found this googling. Can you confirm that's your amp?
That looks like it
He does have a pair of Klispch rf 82 too. But when he compare the two pair Klispch versus mission while connecting to the Rotel. He said the mission sounds better overall be cuz better on the vocal and mid range. I guess the rf 82 are not for music listening with those two 8" and no mid size woofers.
I also connected the hybrid tube amp to my Polk audio RTi4 89dB spl. And they do sound better than when I connected them to my SS amp.

folks never learn , no name china audio on ebay/amazon is rarely found a winner.
That thing on Amazon looks like something to avoid like the plague and having watched enough EEVLOG videos in the past it seems like that would be good advice. Rotel are a well known brand for delivering solid performance and designing amplifiers that are well regarded. I am not surprised that your brother doesn't like the Amazon amp.
I am not defending anything, I am just saying what I heard. It would be more fair to have a professional audiophile to audit that amp and give an unbiased opinion.

There is no biased opinions here. Humans are unique in the way they appreciate sound quality. What important to you (and what matters less) is different with what important to others.
Even you and your brother might have different favorite music genre. I found that with vocal and simple music, tube amps are okay. With fast music (percussion), even super heavy tube amp with the most expensive Tannoy is not good enough for me. Imagine what that hybrid with wimpy transformer can do regarding to this "requirement".
Even understanding what YOU like is not a simple matter. Now, you have to understand what your brother likes...

Oh, now is a good time to introduce Einstein's "Special theory of relativity"
One man's loss is another man's win.

'Watts Wong' wit it, audio toobz design.

Lol, that's gonna be the next winner!

I think John Broskie had summarized the sound characteristics of most hybrids:
"While some good hybrid amplifiers exist, too many sound like bad compromises, often laden with noise, dark tonalities, and poor bass definition, and even sometimes stricken with gritty highs."
Knowing how important current is in driving a loudspeaker, it is necessary to have a proper V-to-I stage in an amplifier. In real tube amps this is done by the output transformer. In hybrids, what else can be done, the tube for amplifying the V and a source follower for amplifying the I. Other than that, it is just a marketing tactics or just having fun...
Owning an L lens doesn't mean they know how to take pictures. Just saying..
How is that even relevant? Owning a lens and camera is the equivalent of writing a piece of music and playing the piano at a recording studio.
We're talking about looking at a photo or listening with your ears. Both things any healthy person off the street can do. And adding to that, because they have fully functional ears and eyes, they are perfectly qualified to tell you which they prefer in a comparison.
So your brother didn't like the cheap, lower power, shoddy hifi from China, get over it. If you'd given him a well designed piece of equipment from T+A or something I'd understand, but you didn't. You gave him the equivalent of Hi-Fi Milli Vanilli.

Yes except the tubes in this china amp, apparently, aren't even in the circuit they are simply there for show
