Having a contract with Bouygues here in France for TV/i/net and landline phone, I get Intermezzo and Stingray Brava, two excellent music/opera/ballet/dance channels as part of the package.
I happened to catch a concert by EST - Esbjorn Svensson Trio, very impressed indeed. So looked on discogs and saw comments about how good ACT a German Jazz label recordings are. They did a gig in 2005 at the Barbican in London and a double CD/vinyl from 2018. I bought the double CD mint, only €9.50.
Totally knocked out by the music and the recording, I was'nt aware of it being CD vinyl or anything else just superb sound and music. Sadly the pianist Esbjorn died in 2008. I intend to buy more of their music. A lot of 'modern' Jazz leaves me cold, not this trio - check them out.
