That leads to the question: "how would you detect the difference in sound between the physical SIT amp and the programmed effect generator setup, when unable to know which one is producing sound?"

Just finished listening to Prince's Purple Rain. Played some Elton John before, Steely Dan, Alan Parsons.... etc....
I need a break... that was... was.... was.... astonishing. That amp grabs the speakers ( 90 db/w little Audio Notes ) by the balls and then it grabs YOU by the heart strings and the music FLOWS out. In the beginning I was taking mental notes of the amp... but after a while I just sat back and let the music wash all over me.
Everything else is ASR. ( Mind you, the alternate to the SissySIT is a DIY F4.. so we're not lacking chez moi for Good Sound )
And, THAT, mes amis, is The Meaning of Life..
Until I get the bridged F4s or ZM puts out SissySIT v5 -aka MachoSIT

If we were engineered to achieve a certain goal, then that goal is the meaning of our life.
If we just happened to pop into existence, then the meaning of our life is defined by the goals we set for ourselves.
I feel my life is getting less meaningful already, can't follow the new stuff in expanded particle physics model anymore. 😉

That's what I'm afraid of.... at some point I want to retire and stop accumulating things...
The meaning of life, so far, has been to work and collect good stuff.
Now, it may change to enjoy what I got.
But, as ZM and NP keep at it.... I keep accumulating things.
I need to get a LARGE stand alone power supply... programmable and with large current capacity. Then I can get amps without power supplies... just the power modules. That will make them smaller and less expensive.
More boxes, cables, lights... hmm...
